I currently believe that Millsap is a top 5 player at his position. Millsap is currently rated an 84, I believe he should be more in line with other PF's and players of his stature. My vote is an 87. Millsap puts up impressive numbers while being on a team with three other all-stars. He is a great passer and has one of the highest per game steal totals. Some player comparisons can be found below: | FG% | 3P% | FT% | REB | AST | BLK | STL | TO | PTS | | RATING | MILLSAP | 48.3 | 36.5 | 75.8 | 8.1 | 3.1 | 0.9 | 1.8 | 2.3 | 17.3 | | 84 | | | | | | | | | | | | | HORFORD | 55.3 | 34.8 | 75.0 | 6.9 | 3.3 | 1.4 | 0.7 | 1.2 | 15.5 | | 86 | GRIFFIN | 50.0 | 38.1 | 72.0 | 7.6 | 5.0 | 0.4 | 0.9 | 2.9 | 22.8 | | 89 | Al. I agree with 87.
He is having a monster year and his rating this year should reflect that!

Are we really putting him 1 point behind John wall and 2 points in front of klay?

Are we really putting him 1 point behind John wall and 2 points in front of klay? Uhh trillsap is a total beast. He's so good at those steals just by knocking the ball out of the players hands before he gets a chance to really post up

Would anyone rather have millsap than klay? Or put him in the same conversation as wall?

Would anyone rather have millsap than klay? Or put him in the same conversation as wall? I think by a contribution way of looking at it, Millsap is as good as Klay this year, and slightly behind Wall. The dude shows up every night and posts great stats. Wall and Klay are definitely better long term, and thats what makes announcers and such so enamored with them, but the contributions across the board are about the same for this year. This is Millsaps ceiling, while Klay and Wall will be rated higher in the future. I think 85 is low for Klay, btw. "Millsap is averaging 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 2.2 three-pointers over his last five games and is on-pace to finish as a top-20 player in standard fantasy leagues." www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1316/paul-millsapSo while I don't think he is a better player than either Wall or Klay, I think he is having a career year, and his rating for 2015 in the sim should reflect what his stats look like in the NBA this year.

17 and 8 on 48 percent seems like an 85 to me This comment completely ignores all other stats. I didn't know we base ratings off of three stat lines. Not to mention you are comparing him to a PG and SG. Shouldn't you compare people to others at their position?

Millsap has 7 less points 2 less rebounds and shoots a lower percentage and isn't the tall rim protector, he seems to be average at it, that LA is. I'd out him 4 points behind since he is good at steals. So 85

Pau averages 18 and 12 with the same percentages and 2 blocks a game yet he's only an 86? Lower than millsap by many of these ratings. That just seems crazy to me. I'll put millsap one point behind pau at an 85. My rating is consistent even when Comparing to other pf

I think he is maybe by 1 or 2 points but I'd still put millsap at 85.

I am sorry but I dont see him deserving an increase specially that he is a playing in one of the best team IRL.. 84.

He kept the same numbers even though he is now playing with an extra allstar on his team than before. In every other situation his numbers would go down. Does this not mean that he has actually gotten better. He's most definitely going to peak at this rating and I would say this is his "in his prime" rating.

In the other end of the spectrum, having Al back also gave him more space to operate, a better rebounding buddy and a better defensive partner.. One more reason of my 84 is that, IMO, there system is much better now with more experience from last year.

Horford is an 86, but I think Millsap is truly the better player out of the two.

Hate Millsap, hate his game, but I could see him being an 85. The Hawks are like the Spurs, no one is superstar and no one should be rated as such.

Teague, Horford, and Millsap are all great players. I guess this means Kevin love should be an 81. The game of getting junk rebounds, playing no D, and shooting threes is a better game? Get out of here.

Get out of here. If you look at the Hawks system, look where their coach came from, they run the same system the Spurs run. It revolves around ball movement. It's why Teague's assist numbers are lower than that of other "elite" PGs like Wall. Everyone shares in the wealth. Now from there, look at how we have had the Spurs players rated in the Sim. No one is currently above an 86 I believe. And, I'll say this again, I hate Paul Millsap. I hate his game. I hate how he plays basketball. Yet, I am able to take it all in, look at it, put my personal bias aside, and realize that the guy is worthy of an 85 rating. Why bring Love into this? It's a different situation and a different system. My opinion on the two players is my opinion, if you disagree with my opinion, that's cool. But comparing Love to Millsap isn't a fair comparison.
