Greg has decided to sign with the Phoenix Suns for the following contract:
2011/2012: $4,500,000 2012/2013: $5,000,000 2013/2014: $5,500,000 (PO)
If any team in the NBA can return Oden to being a promising NBA talent, it's the Suns and their amazing training staff.
Head athletic trainer Aaron Nelson has gained notoriety as the best trainer in the NBA after taking over for Suns legend, and Ring of Honor member, Joe Proski for the job in July 2000.
Nelson's ability to rehabilitate athletes has become the stuff of legend in the eyes of Suns fans.

Bobcats Organization is disappointed with Oden's decision but wish him good luck recovering from his injuries.

Wow, he must have been taking lessons from Eddy Curry because that is a pretty big contract for a guy that doesn't play. Way to get paid Mr Oden.

Nice move on the Suns, this is a high risk high rewards situation. I was heavily thinking about grabbing Oden for the future, however it would be a conflict as i have a young big coming in next year.

Nice move on the Suns, this is a high risk high rewards situation. Suns took a high risk move for sure but i don't know about the reward because of the PO in the 3rd year. I expect oden to take the 1st 2 seasons to recover. If he is still injured by season 3 he will pick the PO to make the most money. If he fully recovers, he might opt out to look for a better deal.

The Suns have always been about loyalty. That's all I'm going to say about that. XD Also, with our medical team, we project Mr. Oden will be ready to play by next season. Hopefully that will translate to D5.. XD In any case, welcome to the Suns, Mr. Oden!
