In probability, anything can happen. NO's 13.7% is only half as good as the Bobcats' 25%. Saying this year's draft is less rigged than last year where the Cavs' Clippers pick only had a 2.8% chance of getting the top pick is quite a ridiculous accusation... What about bulls odds when they got Rose? It was 1.5% i think

The team that had the worst record has won the draft lottery 3 times since 1990.

The team that had the worst record has won the draft lottery 3 times since 1990. The lottery is there to prevent teams from tanking, which is great. But a statistic like that, damn. 3/22 is way less than 1/4... Still tough to prove it's rigged. You can toss 10 coins and have tails come up only once...

Why I believe this year is rigged is because the NBA owns the New Orleans Hornets. They lost Chris Paul in a deal which was mismanaged from the NBA perspective. Their big asset is Gordon who is a FA, nobody would buy a team that is losing money for 338 million (which someone did). New Orleans was value at $285 million and was losing money. To me it seems fishy someone would overpay for a team without getting one hell of a deal from the current owner of the team, which happens to be the NBA.

Their big asset is Gordon who is a FA, He's a restricted free agent though. The Hornets can match any offer so he can't leave New Orleans unless they let him.

It would be MORE rare for the worst team to win every year than it is for them to have won just 3 times. Remember, there's a 75% chance every year that they won't win it. I forget how to do the math on this, but yea, the 3/22 actually is probably about right as far as odds go.

Oh and 25% of 22 is 5.5...so it's not that far off even if you go that route.

Remember, there's a 75% chance every year that they won't win it. That's the key. 25% is not as far away from 1.8% as people might think because you are actually comparing 75% to 98.2% of not getting the 1st. I know the difference is still a lot but the point is it is always more like for some other team to get the 1st over you.

DRAFT LOTTERY IS RIGGED RIGGED RIGGED, STERN STRIKES AGAIN. 2012: A. Davis with Hornets (CP3 debacle) 2011: Kyrie Irving with Cavs (Lebron fiasco, AND OF ALL THE PICKS the CLIPPERS pick was the one that ended up number ONE not the CAVS 25 percent pick). 2010: John Wall with Wizs (Gilbert Arenas gun scandal, and the death of owner Abe Polian) 2009: Griffin with Clips (only draft where you can say NOT RIGGED). 2008: Rose with Chicago (1.7 percent REALLY REALLY, IT'S A FUCKING JOKE) 2007: Oden and Durant in pacific north west (Durant for Sonics staying in SEA and Oden simply cause POR needed new image). including this draft, 5 out of the last 6 are BLATANTLY RIGGED. 2006 NBA DRAFT with TOR RAPTORS are the last one where you can say draft not rigged. BTW I MISS YOU GUYS, HATE BEING ON VACATION AND NOT HAVING INTERNET USE ALL THE TIME LIKE IN USA

BTW I MISS YOU GUYS, HATE BEING ON VACATION AND NOT HAVING INTERNET USE ALL THE TIME LIKE IN USA Its too unlikely for this to happen. LeBron leaves CLE, CLE gets first pick. Paul leaves NO, NO gets 1st pick. I honestly think its rigged. And for anyone who wants to bring up how the Jazz or Nuggets didnt get a first round pick when their star left, those teams were in a lot better position. Yeah but you can make a storyline no matter what happens. Had the Bobcats won it would have been because Stern was giving Michael Jordan the number 1 pick. Had Cleveland won again it would have been the Lebron thing again this year. Had the Kings won it would have been because Stern is trying to keep them from moving out of town. There would have been a story to fuel the conspiracy for whatever team won it. It wouldn't even surprise me if they have been rigging it but trying to prove that a game of chance is rigged is incredibly difficult.
