Mavericks receive:
Spencer Hawes - $4,051,024 (78) Anthony Parker - $2,250,000 (75) 2013 2nd Round Pick (76ers)
Total Received: $6,301,024
76ers receive:
Ian Mahinmi - $885,120 (71) Rodrigue Beaubois - $1,236,720/$2,227,333/$3,271,952 (73) Mike Miller - $5,400,000/$5,800,000/$6,200,000/$6,600,000 (80)
Total Received: $7,521,840
Mavericks gamble on Hawes, a big that performed well on a contract year, hoping to continue a Dallas tradition of overpaying centers in lieu of Raef Lafrentz, Erick Dampier and of course, Brendan Haywood.
We lose Mahinmi who's shown the ability to play the 5 damn well all year, but took a backseat to Carlisle's many experiments. With Haywood likely gone next year via amnesty, He's sure to get more minutes with only Brandan Wright to split time with.
Beaubois has been dazzling at times but his overall progress has been rather disappointing - hopefully, I'm not proven wrong dealing him, as Terry is likely to leave the IRL Mavs as well.
Mike Miller is a solid player right now, but his contract may hamper the resigning of some more important pieces considering that I'd be a lot more strapped for cash than Philly with Dirk on the books for 20m a year through year 3.

The Sixers dont want to gamble on Hawes which will be an UFA after the season. Ian Mahinmi and Rodrigue Beaubois are the type of players that this team wants. Since many of my players (Turner, Thompson, Gallinari, and Thadd) are locked for 4+ years, adding both role players that have good upside generally helps this team a lot.
Also, we got Mike Miller, still a deadly shooter from the outside. Sixers took a little gamble on taking him because of his contract. But definitely, a solid player for us right now.

I gotta think about this a little. It seems VERY possible that come next year, the Mavs just gave up a 1st (in a deep class) and Beaubois, plus Miller, who has talent and is useful, for.....nothing.
Hawes will be a FA come the off-season, if Dallas really wants him, having him on his team now doesn't really help him lock him up long-term, at all.
That said, you gotta clear cap to sign anyone at all, so I understand wanting to move Miller.
Anyway, I have to think about this a little bit, it could be a salary dump, long-term, and I'm not sure if it's worth giving up the 1st AND Beaubois.

Following attempts to reconstruct the trade, The Mavericks and the 76ers have agreed to put this trade on hold in order to find a settlement concerning Hawes' contract.

The Mavericks and 76ers have agreed to a revised deal. Mavericks will no longer include their '12 1st Round pick in the deal, while the 76ers give their '13 2nd Round pick instead of the '12 and '14 picks.

I'm a lot more comfortable with this deal. Dallas clearly doesn't want Miller around, and seems willing to give Beaubois away...Mahinmi would have to re-sign and that's a "?"
Philly gets some solid youth for Hawes, plus a very good bench player or starter for now.
Accept from me.

Yep. Trade passed. I'll put it into Accepted Trades when I've fixed the Salaries Database later.
