Boris had two main suitors in this FA period. Truly, there was one that was interested in him for a long time, and another (the Thunder) that attempted to swoop in later in the process and sway Mr. Diaw away.

Ultimately, we decided to go with the team that is more complete right now, and has a better chance at a ring due to their superior depth and assets. There is long-term stability in Golden State, and we are rather accustomed to a backup role on a championship contender.

Chris Mullin's consistent effort to pull Boris away from his competitor were quite admirable, but the main reason Boris chose the Warriors was that the team is already set, more pieces are still being added this offseason, and he believes the Warriors have a great chance at a ring, and he'd like to add to his collection.

Boris is excited to join the Warriors!

Year 1 - $5,000,000
Year 2 - $5,500,000
Year 3 - $6,000,000
Year 4 - $6,500,000

Total - $23,000,000

Quite the job by Chris Mullin to create all that space and use it wisely, gotta give him credit.

As a PA he's been a pleasure to work with, but as the GM of the TWolves, damn I hate that guy! Can I switch to the EC yet?

And, you know, as a GM in the West watching this guy rake in asset after asset, you don't have to have your clients sign with him; YOU CAN JUST SAY NO WALT!!!!

Haha I really try to keep the "PA Walt" separate from the "GM Walt". I do a fairly good job, or else everyone would have signed in the Eastern Conference this offseason :-p
