Personally, I say Carmelo and Lebron team up with Dirk/Marion/Carter/Calderon/Ellis in Dallas. I think Houston would be a viable option as well but he couldn't team up with Melo if he did that. As far as a dark horse, I like Philly's chances with their young team + the #3 pick + the ability to bring in a second star like Melo. In my opinion, Miami would be one of the last teams on this list that he would pick.

1) Lebron (or Carmelo) are absolutely not going to the Western Conference. It's just too easy to get to the finals in the East. Whatever team Lebron is on is by far the favorite to get the the finals in the East.
2) Melo isn't gonna play anywhere except for Chicago or New York. Period.
3) Half these teams you listed in the East are lottery teams and suck balls.
4) Lebron isn't leaving Miami.

I disagree with EVERYTHING that you said minus #3 and I prefaced it in the body of the poll. #1: To win a championship you indirectly beat every team in the league. While I understand that being in the east makes it easier to get to the finals, this year proves that it does not solely determine who wins the championship. Lebron is the best damn basketball player ever, period, end of statement and will not run away from competition. #2: Why would Melo or Lebron want to go to Chicago? Can someone please explain this to me. I bet me, you, Ian, Billy, and Walt could beat Rose, Gibson, Boozer, Noah, and Butler in a three point shooting contest. It's important to surround dribble-drive players like Rose and Melo with shooting because it clogs the lane up. Personally, I think Love is a much better fit for the Bulls than Lebron or Melo. Besides, whose to say that Rose will be healthy? Contrast this situation with Houston and I don't understand the logic at all. #4:

Why would Lebron want to go back to Miami? Newsflash: Heat have won 2 titles in 4 years and have made 4 straight NBA Finals Newsflash: That team is REALLY old, looked like shit the whole playoffs, and will only continue to decline: Ray Allen - 38 Shane Battier - 35 Chris Andersen - 35 Rashard Lewis - 34 Udonis Haslem - 34 Dwyane Wade - 32 *but plays like he's 42*All the guys listed above could and probably should retire. Lebron better leave if he plans to win multiple championships. This does not factor in how poorly Chalmers played last year or Bosh's ineptitude. In fact, I think you could argue that the ONLY player in Miami's rotation last year that will get better next year is Norris Cole.

There's rumours that the Bulls are targeting Affalo and looking to have a line-up of Rose/Affalo/Melo/Gibson/Noah. Lebron would just make it even sweeter. Definitely won't happen in a million years, but fun to think about what could be.

I completely agree with you that he should leave. It's the smart thing to do for his chance to continue winning. His relationship with Wade and Bosh though, the previous 4 seasons, and that fact that fans may hate him even more for leaving a 2nd franchise may make him stay.

I still think the Bulls should amnesty Boozer, take his money and sign Anthony. Then trade Tony Snell, Taj Gibson, and the 2 1sts to Minnesota for Love. Then trade Jimmy Butler and a future 1st to Orlando for Afflalo. Tall order, but who is going to be close to them. Even if Rose is not healthy. Bring Captain Kirk or DJ back. You have defense in Affalo, Love, and Noah. You have offense in Afflalo, Anthony, and Love. The icing on top of all of this is if Rose can stay healthy. I think it is doable.
Oh, and, LeBron to Houston.

Definitely won't happen in a million years, but fun to think about what could be. I think it could happen but Rose's health and their lack of shooting would need to be addressed. Besides, Rose and Lebron are VERY similar players....even more so than Lebron and Wade use to be. I completely agree with you that he should leave. It's the smart thing to do for his chance to continue winning. His relationship with Wade and Bosh though, the previous 4 seasons, and that fact that fans may hate him even more for leaving a 2nd franchise may make him stay. If he cared about loyalty, he would still be a Cleveland Cavalier. "The Big 3" created Miami as a super team and two of their members failed to live up to the hype. Therefore, Lebron should go create another super team somewhere else.

I like Cleveland's chances if they trade their 1st for some veteran talent that would entice Lebron to come back. I think the nail in the coffin for Miami is that Wade still has another year at 20mil, so your asking Lebron to shoulder it all for 2 years before Riley can put together another contender (assuming Wade only continues going downhill).
Chicago has an off chance but im a Bulls fan and I'm not sure I would hitch my wagon to Rose's health.
My pipe dream is he goes to PHX with Dragic and Bledsoe, would be some fun basketball to watch.

Wade and Bosh both have player options like Lebron, so they could both opt out and take less money. If Wade does exercise his option, then that would be a big indicator that Lebron could be moving.

Rose butler Gibson noah Beverly harden parsons dwight
Houston clearly has the better team with more spacing, a secondary ball handler who can actually shoot, and a center who can erase mistakes better than anyone in the league. Even assuming rose is healthy, a big assumption, the rockets are still better.

The Heat got veteran players to sign for the minimum. Could the Bulls not?
The more I look at it, the more I think it'll just be Afflalo and Anthony.
Not sure why LeBron wouldn't want to go to Houston. He'd form a new BIG 3 with better role players (Beverly, Parson, Jones)
