The longevity of D5 is crazy. A quarter of GMs have been around for more than a decade, and at least half have been around for more than 5 years.

I remember that summer we did D6 That was the first league I joined, before D5. The promotion and relegation was really cool. It sucks that one never really got going. |

I really loved the idea of that league format. It's exciting for the top teams who make the Playoffs, terrifying for the teams who might get relegated, exciting for the teams who are getting promoted, and the teams at the bottom have draft picks to look forward to. I do wonder though, with the best players likely only ever going to the top division teams in free agency, whether it forces ultra-tanking among the lower division teams... |
