Even if the Wizards did get swept if they played in the West, I still think Beal would be putting up some good numbers. Maybe the hype wouldn't be there, but if production is there, I look at that before I look at hype.

That is just silly talk. Conferences don't make a player. If he was in the West, he could and probably would be putting up similar type numbers. Sure situations dictate how a player is used and produces to a certain level, but at the end of the day, his hype/talent/contributions all fall on the player. I meant to say the Wizards would have either been swept in the 1st round or not made the playoffs at all in the West, and no one would be thinking Beal is anything special. For instance, Gerald Green put up very similar numbers to Beal, if not better considering efficiency... but no one is over here arguing for him to be an 82+ Green did have a nice season. IMO 1.5 ast vs 3.3 ast is a BIG deal, but I feel like I'm alone on that sometimes. Green also had a little less rebound, little less steals, little less points...none of that is a big deal, and yes he was a better overall FG% guy and FT% guy, but it all adds up IMO.

I say 79 for Beal.
Will he be an all-star next season? Most likely. Will he be a great player for the Wizards in the years to come? I believe so. Can he be the Klay Thompson of the East? Yeah, probably better.
But, what is he right now?
Right now, I think he is a 79. We can't throw a years worth of games out the window because he is performing exceptionally well in the playoffs. If that were the case, Harrison Barnes would be an 80. I mean, I think if Beal carries this into next season, he is an 85. But right now, a 79.

He's a good starter. IMO his allstar potential is not a factor right now.

He's a good starter. IMO his allstar potential is not a factor right now. Can't give people increases based on potential, our ratings would be fk'd
