Whoaaaaaaa 2 1sts and Varejao for Asik?
I know those should be later 1sts but Varejao for Asik is plenty even for me.

I'm turning these assets into a guy that I think will be really good for my team. I am the biggest fan of Varejao that there is. He's literally my favorite player on my favorite team. I just fear an increase because the guy is nuts averaging like 60% from midrange on the season and I hate to see him on team that isn't that good. At least with Brooklyn he'll have a shot to win. Asik is a guy that is going to have his OVR hampered by being behind Howard but will eventually blossom into one of the best defensive players in the league. It fits my needs perfectly.

You are bumping a trade that was posted 2 hours ago...
Anyway I accept. Not sure why the 1st round pick are needed, but they probably won't be good anyway.

I accept, the picks will likely be late picks anyways.

I am with Barber's line of logic here actually.
Remove the picks and it's an accept for me, but even then, compared to Marion and Perkins, Varejao is quite a lot better. Varejao is probably an overpay by himself at this exact moment, but definitely not a reject if it's just him.
But with the picks...it's a reject for me too.
2-2, waiting for Ian to decide this one.

Barber did explain, Memphis doesn't really have that many assets. 1st Round Picks are assets. Moving them and not getting enough for them could be seen as detrimental to his team.

If Jeremiah was a more experienced GM I might give an accept, but since he's not had many trades yet and he's trading away two pretty important assets (the picks) in this deal, I reject. By the time 2016 rolls around there's really no way to know where those picks will end up, teams can change in a matter of weeks here. My 2015 Brooklyn pick, for instance, is now looking like a potential late-lottery pick in my opinion - that wasn't true a month ago.
Those are the only two 1st round picks, outside of his own picks, that Memphis owns. I think they're too important to include on top of Varejao for the likes of Asik.
Mostly though it's Jeremiah's rookie GM season and I don't understand his reasoning.
