December Update
2 Dec - New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 103-94; 10-4)
DET kicks off December with a 4th quarter comeback win versus the NYN. Pistons outscore NYN 29-19 to overcome a one point deficit at home. An efficient game from Jennings (28 pts, 8 assists, 6 reb and 0 turnovers) plus a double-double from Monroe (22 pts, 12 rebounds) led the Pistons.
3 Dec - Detroit Pistons (10-5) vs. Chicago Bulls (Win 103-85)
Game 15, first game of a 4 game road trip is a loss to division rival CHI. Poor defence allows CHI to shoot 52% on the way to an 18 point win. Off night for Okafor with only 6 points on 2 for 7 shooting with 6 turnovers.
9 Dec - Detroit Pistons (10-6) vs. Golden State Warriors (Win 111-83)
Winless for two on the road after a 28 point beating from the invincible GSW (20-0) in Game 16.
11 Dec - Detroit Pistons (Win 97-94; 11-6) vs. LA Clippers
Taking the ball to the hoop (+9 made FT) led to balanced scoring (all 5 starters in double figures) and a road win versus the Clips in Game 17. Chalmers has his best game since joing DET with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal.
12 Dec - Detroit Pistons (Win 112-78; 12-6) vs. Utah Jazz
Game 18 and it's nice to be on the positive side of a 34 point blow-out on the 2nd night of an away back to back. All 5 starters in double figures, led by Jennings with 19 points and 10 assists and 5 rebounds.
Four game road trip ends 2-2, seven of 10 remaining December games at home, highlighted by GSW on 23rd and Miami on the 29th.
14 Dec - Sacramento Kings vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 96-86; 13-6)
DET shoots the ball well in a solid win over SAC, led by Jennings with 24 points, Monroe with 12 rebounds and Johnson with 7 assists.
16 Dec - Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 111-90; 14-6)
Big, almost statement level win by 21 over division rival CHI in Game 20 evens season series at one home win each. DET wins every quarter with 35 points in the 2nd. Johnson leads the way with an efficient 31 points (19 shots), six rebounds and 5 assists. Monroe chips in with 13 rebounds while Jennings takes on the lead guard role tonight with 8 assists. Jason Terry went 7/11 from 3 on the way to 33 points in a losing cause.
17 Dec - Detroit Pistons (Win 112-102; 15-6) vs. Charlotte Hornets
Road win in CHA in Game 21 to sweep the home and away back to back led by season high 24 points from Okafor to go with 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. Stuckey had zero FGA but contributed 10 assists off the bench.

Beno Udrih comes off the bench to lead a balanced DET attack (six in double figures) in a road win in Game 22 in MEM. Greg Monroe contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds for his 12th double-double on the year.
20 Dec - Portland Trail Blazers vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 94-92; 17-6)
In Game 23 DET kicks of a 5 game Christmas home stand with a narrow win over POR. DET trailed 76-69 at the start of the 4th and outscored POR 25-16 to close out the win. Jennings led the way with 28 points and 7 assists.
23 Dec - Golden State Warriors (Win 99-84) vs. Detroit Pistons (17-7)
A fifteen point home loss to GSW after they had just had their season opening 25 game win streak broken in PHI – not surprising.
25 Dec - San Antonio Spurs vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 91-89; 18-7)
Game 25 for DET is the 2nd game of the Christmas Day double header. DET wins a nationally televised nail-biter edging out the SAS with a 25-22 4th quarter bringing pride to the bankrupt city of Detroit. Neither team shot the ball well and DET won the game at the FT line where they outscored SAS by 16 points, led by Johnson who scored 26 points including a perfect 7/7 from the line. Jennings had a good floor game with 8 assists and zero TO and Okafor chipped in 15 rebounds and 3 blocks.
27 Dec - Toronto Raptors vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 85-75; 19-7)
The DET defence holds TOR to 34 points in the 2nd half on the way to 10 point home win. The Piston's offence was not good, but good enough to take down the Raps. Johnson led the way with a solid all-around game (23 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals) before fouling out in the 4th.
29 Dec - Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons (Win 92-90; 20-7)
Statement win vs. Conference leader MIA in Game 27. DET survives near triple double from Lebron (35/9/9) by holding MIA to 39 points in the second half.
31 Dec - Detroit Pistons (20-8) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (Win 128-83)
Not much to say about this one. DET finishes a great month with a horrific loss to division rival CLE in Game 28.
