This is what it should be, To Ian and everyone else, sorry for posting so many threads with trades, this one combines both of them into one to make life easier for everyone to judge. We should wait for the acceptance of Jay Z and T-Mac.

This is a lot better than the two separate trades, the Raps will still have to cut 3 players and the Hawks will have to cut 1.

Toronto Raptors will cut - Patrick O'Bryant - Alan Anderson - Chris Singleton
If this trade is accepted.

Toronto Raptors will cut - Patrick O'Bryant - Alan Anderson - Chris Singleton If this trade is accepted. I may be remembering another league or something but I still don't think you can cut the guys you are getting in the trade in order to make room...for the guys you are getting in the trade! lol Raps you will have to cut 3 other players to make room for this trade to even happen. Ian can get on and clarify or say that I am wrong but if you think it through, this trade puts you over, you have to have the roster space for the trade before the trade can go through.

I definitely remember trades where GMs cut players they are receiving in the trade. I'm pretty sure I've done it myself. It wouldn't be a very effective rule anyway, since Washington would just cut the players and trade them as contracts instead.

Yeah Walt, i dont think thats a rule as yet lol. But if the Patrick O'Bryant signing is a problem here, Wizards and I can replace him with Mike Muscala contract. You guys let me know.
*just noticed the new rule, So Patrick O'Bryant can stay but i cant release 3 people from a trade, only 2. So i will release, Patrick, Chris Singleton and Jon Jenkins(from my team)

As I said, may have been remembering another league's rules. No problem if that's how Ian wants to run it, Alex you are right they could just be cut and traded as contracts anyway. It's still kind of a work-around, illegal-feeling move IMHO, but I know we don't want to make trades harder here. No biggie.

That new rule will not apply to this trade. Right now I don't care if you're releasing players that you receive once the trade is accepted, there's too much of my time being wasted figuring out how many players need to be signed and released from all these damn trades. Washington will also need to sign 4 players Je deteste!

Ian, do you need me to sign FAs before you accept or reject? Or do I do that after I know this will get passed? I ask because I wouldn't want to sign players and then the trade doesn't go through.

Of course you must sign players first. That's the risk you take. That's why the rule needed to b put into place. I hate even being able to make such a signing to make a trade.

The IRL Cavs just signed some random guy to a 2 million dollar non-guaranteed contract just so they could trade him this off season.

Atlanta now needs to cut two players.
Also we have to wait 24 hours before Washington's signings are finalized.

Believe it or not, Washington still needs to sign 1 player I'm going to process this trade anyway now, because I'm sick of it (!!), but TMac and Jay Z still have those bits to do.

I signed 4 players and counted after the trade. I should have 12. Evans Ellis Smith West Horford Kaman Watson Thabeet plus 4 FAs.
