This guy is the biggest example of New York driven hype turned into free money by a player. He can barely find 10 minutes on Toronto.
Current Rating: 77

76.
When he was getting minutes he led all SG in rebounding, is a good defender.
Toronto just doesn't really need him on the floor right now.

Certainly doesn't seem to be a terrible player or anything, there is just a point where we have to lower players after two years of minimal impact.

He almost never plays on Toronto. Terrible parting gift from the real Bryan Coangelo. I'd give him a 71

Yea looking again...whew. He earned that 77 I suppose when he put up 10 points 6+ boards, 2 assists and a steal on about 50/40/77%'s. Those are impressive %'s especially
BUT, that was in 2010-11. He's lost PT every year, especially in Toronto. Doesn't even take 3's anymore, FT% for his career is now at 66.3% after shooting very poorly there...and he puts out 2 points and 2 boards with less than an assist.
I gotta put him at a 71

I own Mr. Fields and am a huge cRaptors fan so I have seen him play the last 2 years in Toronto. Landry has been recovering from injury during his time in Toronto and his 3 point shot hasn't come back yet. So I don't know how you factor in injuries (ulnar nerve transposition surgery) when a player plays instead of sitting. In his rookie year 36% of his shots were 3s and he made 39% of them - in Toronto less than 8% of his shots are 3 pointers. When he is called on he plays well, unfortunately coach Casey likes the corpse of John Salmons better than Landry - based on nothing at all really.
I think 75 if the injury is factored in and 73 if you don't consider that.

I'll change my rating to 76 benefit of the doubt while still punishing because he's just not doing anything.

Other things I noticed....he got that 77 after his rookie season. Since then, in his 2nd year in NY, his 3pt shot started to disappear, and his FT% dropped like a rock. 3's dropped to 25.6% that year. Then 14.3 in Toronto and now 0.0 in his 2nd year there. Just curious how long he has been recovering from injury before I factor that in, b/c he's shown signs of regression ever since his rookie season, 4 seasons ago.

Elbow surgery happened in November of 2012, wrist surgery in January of 2014.

You have to admit though, every player out of NYK gets overrated to shit by the public.

Honestly, I see 3 years of decline. It may be injury related but I watched both of Landry's years in New York, basically every game, and he lost a lot of confidence when melo showed up at the end of his rookie season. He wasn't the same player the rest of that year or at all the next year, and even though injuries are a part of that, I'm keeping my 71. He can prove himself again and get a boost and I'd be happy to boost him, but right now he's useless.

He has been injury plagued since joining the Raptors. Still he hasn't replicated his rookie year. I think 74 is good.

74.
And nerve injuries / surgeries are terrible. They are sometimes hit or miss and can take a lot longer to recover from than a normal muscle / ligament tear.
