Current Rating: 76 Suggested Rating: 80
The oft over-looked brother of Brook Lopez, Robin is quietly contributing to a top team in the Western Conference. He only averages 11ppg and 8.5rbpg, but he is basically solely responsible for the Blazers interior D. He also shoots 54% from the field and 80% from the line - extremely solid for a big man who is blocking a shot and a half per game. This isn't a fluke either, as his per36 numbers have always indicated these type of numbers. Definitely deserves an increase - in the simulations, he's shooting poorly from the line and 37% from the field - 15/40. Granted, the Hornets are tanking, but it's not like we've been playing tough opponents, either. His poor shooting from both the field and the line in the sim is indicative of a need for a rating increase.

Definitely not an 80. I think he's fine at a 76 actually.

78. No way he is an 80, he is at his peak right now. He may be playing his best, but the word ' peak ' implies a downward trend in the near future. Which is not gonna happen. The dude is only 25 years old! He's third in offensive rebounds, behind only DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond. He's not even in top 20 for defensive rebounds, which shows you how much of his contributions come from valuable second chances. He's tenth in blocks, 12th in FG%, and this is a weird stat because I'm not really sure how it's calculated, but he is NUMBER ONE in offensive rating. www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2014_leaders.htmlHonestly, I had NO IDEA that Robin Lopez was #1 in Offensive Rating, and that seems like it's inflated for some reason or another. Anybody know why he's number one? Anyway, with all that in mind, he's due for an increase.

Peak means that hes playing at the highest level possible. It is true that he can only degress, but that does not necessarily imply that it will occcur in the neear future. OK way to address the actual least important part of my post. Thanks for the great contribution.

I would say he should be at 78-79, about where Anderson Varejao is at. He's not amazing and would not be able to carry a team, but he's at least decent starter at the 5 in the league especially on a team that he's not required to carry a major offensive load, career 54% shooter and 73% or something like that from the line. I completely disagree with Billy King saying this is the best he is going to play ever in his career, he won't get super athletic out of nowhere but you can always add post moves and he will always be 7 ft tall and around 250 lbs. I'm not anticipating some sort of break out nightly 20 and 10 type of season from him ever but he can always get a little bit better.
