I accept, Josh Smith is a great player, however with Lamar Odom here he is expendable. This deal does give me one of Canada’s most beloved heroes in Steve Nash. He is an elite point guard which my team is missing. Jack rather than being back up and interrupt the development of Bayless, he should enjoy his role in Phoenix. This move also clears up cap for this season to land a big name player and next season.

The specific players in this deal make me accept, more than I might normally. Nash has a good chance of signing at a "hometown" discount in Toronto, especially if they are contending (still to be seen)...while Josh Smith, after next season, I really don't see him staying in Toronto.
I don't like the idea of this for Toronto's future, generally (even with what I said, he could trade Smith for a younger player), but it's not enough to reject it.
Accept.

Minny, the future is bright in Toronto. I still have Eric Gordon who is 23 and next season Jonas V. I can contend and still feel I have enough assets to rebuild if everything fairs. I have a lot of finnacial flexibility. Remember the issue in Toronto (real life)is not te city, but rather the culture. Toronto for basketball is just as a big market as the other major city. I believe if I can create a winning culture players will want to play here.

That's true to a point, though I remember seeing a star player on a pretty good team that won a little in the playoffs, leave Toronto.
There are plenty of players who are just not interested in calling Canada home.
I do appreciate you trying to stick up for and improve Canada's image though. Keep going after it.

That is true, however after losing to Orlando we never regain success after bosh. Back in the VC days we were winning and players did want to play here ie..Hakeem,Jackson,etc. Plus under Bosh we did land Hedo( at that guy a huge free agent)
However I do maintain it comes back to the winning environment rather than the city. The Lakers and Boston both great cities and contenders now. But remember when they sucked between 2005-2007? In that time Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce both requested a trade out.
Plus go back in NBA history there are a lot of examples, but I'll use the Houston Rockets. Great team mediocre success until they won back to back titles. People forget the only year Hakeem missed the playoff before his 2 rings, the man requested a trade out of Houston .

I accept, PHX gets a very good player in Smith and a reliable PG in Jack for someone who they were gonna lose in FA while TOR brings home Nash who will turn them into a legit contender

It's a shame that Phoenix's owner in real life is so terrible, Nash deserves better.
I accept. Trade passed.
