Mavericks Accept. Recurring theme with my trades has been get young but stay competitive.I believe Marshon Brooks has the potential to be a 20PPG scorer and gives us a 2 Guard to hold on for years to come, a position I believe to be thin in the league at the moment. Kris Humphries is a double-double machine, and lets me avoid having to pay Marion $8 Million in the twilight of his career. Jordan Williams meanwhile adds to the growing collection of young bigs that the Mavs hold.
Mavericks send off two starters, accepting that this year is unlikely to be their year, and adding a pair of picks to help add to the collection of youth.
Mavericks also refuse to spell Marshon with a capital S. because.
Edited, apparently S was the capitalized letter lol.

I accept, I want to win now or at least turn my team into a solid conference title contender, and IMO a starting 5 with Westbrook/VC/Gwall/Marion/Lopez is in fact a playoff team. Shawn Marion is a great sim player, and I know that him and VC are way past their prime, I believe that this move is a nice one for a team that wants to win right now...Marshon Brooks is a nice young guy but the real life nets team sucks so thats why he had a nice season, while VC and Marion are still playing decent in a team that was last years champion... Kris Humphries is a guy that I dont like personally and he is expiring so I dont really care about him...and I plan to turn those picks in really low picks

Is the Mavericks strategy this year to trade away all their talent for youth?
If it is then I think that's a bit disappointing because they're a prototypical last-chance-saloon team like my Celtics at the moment. A bunch of veterans giving it one last push.
If it's not the Mavs strategy then this trade should be rejected.
I don't think it's realistic to be turning a complete 180 but I'll accept it. I think it might be what I'll do if we're halfway through our D5 season and the C's don't renew Garnett and Allen in real life.

I was hoping to maximize the value I could get from these vets. The guys I've been adding are either entering their prime or have lots of room to improve.
When I got the Mavericks, I hoped to either upgrade or get young, and no one wants to give you an upgrade when you're offering a 30-something.
And really, we aren't exactly turning into a lottery bunch. I believe we can still be a threat even at this state.

The one big difference between Boston and Dallas, as I mentioned in the League's Chat room would be that Boston has Rondo to build around. While Brooks is no superstar, he at least gives me a reliable young guard to rely on for a while.

I'm mostly just pissed off because I really love Brooks and want him for the Celtics /sarcasm Just want to hear what Aubrey has to say before giving my verdict.

I don't have a problem with this, Brooks is going to be the best player in this trade in 2 seasons + Dallas is getting a 1st rounder. VC is a non factor as he is basically done at this point and Marion has 1-2 seasons left IMO
