Evan Turner
Current Rating: 75 Proposed rating: 77-79
2012-2013 Stats:
PPG: 13.3 RPG: 6.3 APG: 4.3
Percentages:
FG%: 41.9% 3PT%: 36.5% FT%: 74%
Granted, Turner has yet to live up to being a #2 pick, but he puts up solid numbers and contributes in a number of ways.
75 feels like average big-man or 3nd guard off the bench. I think that he'd be better fit at 77,78,79 - sort of starter on a bad team/first off the bench on a decent team-ish range.
Particular stats of note are his 3pt and FT stats, at 40 and 67 respectively. His 3pt% has noticeably improved, but he doesn't particularly take a lot of them - 58/159 attempts or .7/2.0 per game.
That in mind and simply in terms of context, I think his 3pt shooting could hit 70, maybe in the 70-75 range where guys like Ariza and Barnes are at.
That and maybe a slight FT boost. Cause really, his other stats are in line with most other G/Fs with similar stats. Passing is similar to Batums', D-rebs are near Paul George's, and his STL/BLK is shit like most. Just seems like that 40 3pt is really weighing his overall down.

He's not particularly young anymore at 24 His ceiling is Tayshaun Prince He's shown some quick flashes here and there, but he hasn't been able to consistently perform well and he's a mediocre player. I feel like you should have waited to create this thread, Turner wasn't a good fit in Collin's system. 76 24 is young...I know you may be a 5th grader, so 24 seems old too you...but no 24 year old is old and at that age a man if finally becoming a man himself....funniest shit ive heard so far out of your mouth...

I vote to raise his 3pt and ft like was mentioned, and if that bumps him 2 points or so, then good. I'm fine with his overall around 77 or 78 tops.

Currently sitting at 19.6 PPG/6.7 RPG/4.0 APG. I know, bad team and all but I think Evan deserves some credit and maybe join the "just above average" bunch of wings in Parsons, Gallo and Batum in getting a jump to 81-83.

Yea the points are misleading by a bit but he can rebound and pass the ball around a bit.
I think 81 or 82 right now. I'm also maybe going to do another Batum look soon, his points are down a little but so are his shots, his %'s are up, his rebounds are up, assists are up, he's an interesting all-around player.

Currently three ratings, would average 81.5 or 82 atm. He's in a scoring slump atm, but still putting up solid assist and rebounding numbers. Most notable improvement from previous years are related to free throws, shooting them at a way better clip (74% to currently 82.7%) and getting to the line at a better rate.
17.8 PPG|6.0 RPG|3.8 APG|1.0 SPG|.1 BPG|43.3% FG|28.1% 3PT|82.7% FT
Not exactly superstar numbers, but can you really say that this guy deserves to stay a 75?

I think we need more discussion for Even Turner before I'm convinced enough to give him a bump higher than 77.

Well then, I'd really love to know why you don't think that Turner should join the other wings in getting the 80s boost. I really don't want to go on talking to myself.

I say 80, dude has been the go to guy along with MCW this year. That's because there is nobody else on that team to take some of the load off. That argument is like saying Brandon Knight deserves to be in the 80's because he is the go to guy on the Bucks.

But MCW has been doing majority of the work this season as well, so it's not only Turner who's doing anything.

I acknowledged off the bat that his points could be a bit inflated, but it's not like it's all just because he's getting more shots. He's getting to the line more, is taking better shots and has actually upped his FG% slightly, and his FT% significantly. But again, i'd like to point out that scoring isn't all he does - his rebounding and passing aren't far off from the other guys we boosted at 6 RPG and 3.8 APG. He really shouldn't be punished for being a 3rd Option-type guy being forced into a lead scoring role.
Also, as for the ratings: (77,78,80,80,82,83) - cutting 77 and 83 would leave an average of 80.

I totally disagree with this personally, but we're a true democracy here Evan Turner is now pending for an 80, much to my disgust

I vote for upping his 3 or assist and rebounding just enough to get him to a 77.
