There's so many different pieces to this deal but I like it on the whole. I accept. What's with Stalin and Lenin in your avatar icon?

What's with Stalin and Lenin in your avatar icon? two of the biggest influences in the 20th century and two guys who created the first purely socialist state in the world. Even if you do not agree with communism or socialism on a whole or even the (failure that was) Soviet Union, its still a good thing that ruling elite were able to be brought down.

I like this trade for the purpose that I am able to improve greatly at the Center position, with a great two-way big in Marc Gasol. Also get a great defensive SG who can slow down the Kobes of the NBA (guy who historically trashes this team).
It sucks giving up scorers but I'd rather improve on the defensive side.
Also I'm done yet with my roster

Nice to see you don't follow the political norm I've heard a lot of good critical analysis though which, I think correctly, shows that the USSR was by no means socialist at all. In my opinion those two guys gave communism a bad name. edit: I'm a big fan of Noam Chomsky's politics Maybe I should make an Off Topic Discussion Board

But really Stalin was authoritarian/dictator who wanted to create a cult of personality out of himself. Lenin himself wanted micromanage everything which meant he would either piss people off or burn off himself and his advisors. So they both had huge faults but still contributed to having huge influence on 20th century politics and life. Also Soviet Union was a a complete socialist state but they were completely Authoritarian when it dealt with social issues (basically no freedom).
