I accept. Rudy is young and talented and Lin isnt a bad PG at 7 million. I love this deal for me.

This trade is very similar to the Toronto - Detroit one in that Portland already has Tim Duncan, Lamarcus Aldridge and now they're going to add David West, who really, really cannot play Small Forward, whilst shipping their all star Small Forward, Rudy Gay, all to acquire John Wall whilst also trading a guy who's almost comparable to Wall in trade value, Jeremy Lin, AND adding a pick.
I don't understand it from Portland's POV. Bryan Colangelo must have some Jedi mind control skills or something to get GMs to accept these trades. I'm going to need some explanation from "I don't want to trade whilst I'm on such a hot streak" Portland why he's trading essentially trading Gay, Lin and 2013 1st for John Wall and filler!

Well Rudy Gay has never been to an all-star game, unless you mean in this league.
Yes I have been hesitant to pull a deal since my team has been good, but I also have to look to the future. John Wall is a franchise PG compared to Jeremy Lin. I value having a good PG over a good SF.
While David West is expiring and isn't a SF, I can shift J-Rich down to SF and start Crawford at the 2 and make West the 6th man. While this is happening I can use David West as trade bait to hopefully acquire a SF, if not I can try my best in free agency.
While Rudy Gay is a talent and is someone I really value, ever since Memphis traded him and the team got better I had second thoughts about him. His contract is terrible for who he is and I think I can find a better option at SF.

all to acquire John Wall whilst also trading a guy who's almost comparable to Wall in trade value, Jeremy Lin Say what? I wouldn't trade John Wall for five Jeremy Lin's. I usually think the team getting the best player wins the trade since the more talented a player is the harder they are to replace. Franchise players are damn hard to come by and John Wall might be one. Rudy Gay and Jeremy Lin certainly aren't. They are good but not irreplaceable since there are plenty of players out there who could do a fine job replacing Gay and Lin. Not very many PGs can replace Wall. I guess the issue is David West but Portland does have the depth to run with a decent lineup while he looks to flip West for a wing player. My biggest question is why Toronto is so intent on trading Wall. I'd like to here things out little more but I'm inclined to accept this.

My plan was to trade Zbo for a PF and Center. Instead of that i made a trade with Jonas for a Center and PF (Hibbert and West) which means i have two PF now. My next step was look for a deal for Wall that makes sense for my team. Would i trade him for picks, youth? no, thats what everyone keeps offering me. I want talent for talent, and you say he's a franchise player, why is he ranked so low at 84 then? Yes i am not disagreeing with you of the fact he will be, but when? wont be right now and i have to trade him for his value (why Boston said sim value). If i were to trade Wall my rules from day one, ask all the GM's who have offered me a trade for wall, i want a replacement PG who is decent and a great SF or SG. My Detroit trade brought me both which was great but was rejected. Now this trade sends me an All Star SF in Rudy Gay and a decent PG in Lin.
It's not like im going out there and saying do you want Wall for youth or pick, i have only been offering wall if i was able to complete my roster. Lin - Rudy - Gay - Zbo - Hibbert has transformed my roster in just two trades. Also not sure if anyone has noticed i have officially traded away all my bad contracts. After this trade i will have over 16 million to spend in free agency which is to be used on Hibbert and that SG and still have Lin - Rudy - Zbo under contract.
Everyone thinks Rudy Gay isnt all star material, myself being a raptor fan, if we did not acquire Rudy Gay, OKC might of had a top pick in this year draft in real life. Gay has not only transferred the Raptors in real life but has also shown flashes that he can indeed be an all star. With him in Toronto now, he's now the number one man which could only mean good results imo. This could raise his value from a 83 in the following years.

Ok, I suppose I accept.
Detroit has a legit reason to bitch at me for this, but since his trade and this one we've had a TC discussion going on and thrashed a few things out that've made me change my mind.

Basically on the fence similar to the last two guys but I don't see quite enough to reject it.
Accept.

You guys should have listened to me. If we rejected this trade then Portland would barely be a threat for the playoffs.
