Kings Get: PF Derrick Williams 81 $4,809,840/$5,016,960/$6,331,404/$8,262,482 PF Justin Harper 67 $762,195/1
Total: $5,572,035
Blazers Get: PF Amir Johnson 76 $6,000,000/$6,500,000/$7,050,000 C Joel Przybilla 71 $490,180/1 PG Patrick Mills 68 $490,180/1
Total: $6,980,360[/b][/color]
$5,572,035 * 1.25 = $6,965,043.75
$6,965,043.75 + $100,000 (an often forgot about rule) = $7,165,043.75
$5,572,035 * 1.25 = $6,965,043.75 < $7,165,043.75
Therefore this trade works.

I accept this deal. These two trades, after the smoke clears, basically result in Ben Gordon to the Blazers for Wesley Johnson and Craig Smith as a salary filler. Obviously, we had to make this deal two trades because of Portland's lack of salaries minus his core players. I do not see in the rules where this tactic is not allowed, but we will see what Ian and the TC say about it. Other sims have allowed it, and I know the Celtics in real life traded Marcus Banks to the Lakers and then traded back for him instantly. Not sure if that establishes any precedent or not, but we shall see. As far as the overall look of the Kings after the trade(s), we get about 7 M in cap space for next year and a good young player in Wesley Matthews. The potential results of this trade could not make us any happier! The Kings look forward to seeing what the TC says about this issue. If it passes, we wish Ben Gordon nothing but the best in Portland and hope that he can help Timmy, LaMarcus, Linsanity, and the rest of those boys win a ring.
