This guy is in definite need of a boost -- he's been having a breakout season and arguably is the Knicks second best long term piece after Brunson (sorry RJ, Grimes, and Mitch Rob...).

The raw stats output for IQ:

• 12/4.1/3.2 with 0.9 SPG on 43/35/83 splits in 54 games. Efficiency isn't great, but his last 30 games he's been 15/4/3.5 on 47/36/82 splits (taking five 3s per game too) on just 19% USG rate, which is the lowest in his career
• Very solid 3:1 AST to TO ratio (89th percentile in the League on TOV%, as he takes care of the ball extremely well)

Advanced stats case for a bump for IQ:

• Per Cleaning the Glass, IQ is in the 100th percentile for defensive Pts Per Possession impact (Knicks are 12.6 points better defensively when he's on the court), eFG defense (opponents shot 7.3% lower when he's on the court), and he's in the 95th percentile for FT rate defense (teams averaging 5.3 less attempts with him as the POA defender)
• Per Cleaning the Glass, IQ is in his third straight year of 89th or better percentile for On/Off impact, with the Knicks 8.9 points better with him on the court versus off. 
• Per EPM, he's in the 80th percentile defensively League wide (+0.9) and for expected Wins (3.5)
• Per RAPTOR, he is the League leader (and it's not even close) in defensive On/Off RAPTOR at +8.3. For context, JJJ is fourth at +5.7 and AD is 16th at +4.0. 
• Per RAPTOR, he's sixth overall in Defensive RAPTOR for players with 1,500 minutes or more this season. He's behind just Bam, Jokic, Drayond, Jarrett Allen, Brook Lopez, and OG Anunoby and he's well ahead of stalwart defenders like Jaden McDaniels, Evan Mobley, and Marcus Smart at similar minute loads.

In short, IQ is punching way above a 76 and needs a healthy raise to reflect the defensive impact.

I love IQ, but I was going to wait a little longer. He started pretty rough, like is mentioned in the top post, but he has been really, really good since then. But it's about half-and-half and I am hoping he continues his "hot streak" to the point that it becomes more clear it's not a streak.

Anyway - ethically, I can't go much higher than a 78-something, yet. Soon, though! Keep it up IQ!
