I accept. Between this trade and the Poetl one, I have now remade my frontline into a Bam-Aldama pairing which, at 25 and 22 years old respectively, aligns much better timeline wise with Luka who is 23 and Sexton who is 24. I can now bide time on the older D5 superpowers with (arguably) the best under 25 duo in the League in Luka and Bam while maintaining my draft pick control through 2025.
In short, a small step back given I am forking over a top 10 player in AD when he's healthy -- and Monty Williams's MEM side now boasting a frontline of AD, Kawhi, and Rudy Gobert for a title run -- and Herb Jones, who, like SGA, I drafted and promoted with reckless abandon and annoyance to the D5 Discord and site. But at the end of the day, it is about recognizing when to take a slight step back now to hopefully take a giant one forward in the future.
Ian Noble, Nwora and LMA will also be tossed on the FA funeral pyre if this deal goes through.
