Current: 87 Proposed: 91 My guy Jaylen is starting to show up on the MVP ladder nowadays, he's currently at #10 www.nba.com/news/kia-mvp-ladder-dec-2-2022-editionSecond option on the league's best team. First option during the actual goddamn Finals. Discord Bandits want to nerf his 3PT rating because it's the only thing that's not career-high (33%) but I would contest any significant lowering of 3PT. He's clearly a much larger focal point for the Celtics offense this year, that's going to lead to more difficult, heavily contested shots than any previous year. But I know Walt already takes that into account anyway so... it is what it is. Stats through 41 games this year: 26.9ppg 7.1rpg 3.2apg on 50/33/79 Give my guy some love.

49.5 / 32.8 / 78.7 splits. FG% is awesome, I gotta say the rest is not great especially that 3pt%. He took 7.1 3pa in 2020, 7.0 in 2021, and now 7.4 in 2022. Total FGA are 19.2, 18.4, and 20.4. Statistically find it a hard sell to give him too much credit for his 3PT% this year when his % in that time have gone from 39.7 to 35.8 to 32.8
Just saying, that's gonna get hit, no doubt. A 32.8 is basically a 66, but I do think he'll get credit for his past and will stay in the 70s somewhere.
Anyway, 1.1 stl and 0.5blk, just for everyone else curious.
End of the day, the ratings that go into the game are leaning me to under a 90. I don't think he does enough across the board, statistically, to warrant that 90+. Maybe if every single athletic stat was maxed or some version of maxed for a guard (i.e. not 90's strength)...maybe he'd get there?
Looking at his current ratings...
Already an 89 FG. I could see an argument for a little higher. 3pt from 89 down probably a full OVR point though (15-ish), or close. FT at 74 goes up about 5 OReb is static Passing is roughly static DReb he can bump up about 10
(at this point, we're basically a rework, everything cancelled out, essentially)
Steal at 64 .... my current formula has him at a 44, but I might lean higher if y'all force me with his OVR rating...lol Block at 24 ... currently should be a 20, so, close. Stamina at an 88, I could bump about 5 - 10 depending what's needed, should be bumped at least 5 though.
At this point if I did what I wanted with Steal and Block, he's at a decrease...lol
So, DAware at 90 and OAware at 86 would get boosted Dribbling at 71 I would probably boost a fair amount.
Jump 91 | Quick 89 | Speed 89 would all get boosted out of necessity Strength 68 would get boosted too.
If we're comfortable with 95-99 in all of the DAware / OAware / Jump / Quick / Speed, then boost to a 90+...
My vote is around 88. He's very good IRL, but I think our rating system will capture him well in the high-80s still.

If we're comfortable with 95-99 in all of the DAware / OAware / Jump / Quick / Speed Oh god please no lol. He’s already rated as a top 10 defender in D5. If anything his DAwr should come down to like 85 max. If anything just max out his physicals as that’s where he actually really excels.

My point was... at a 91 I wouldn't have a choice but to max all of it out, including the physicals which are already pretty high.

the amount of 2k season mode I play is insane. I am very well versed. There is so many more categories in 2k than in our league and the 2k raters don’t actually spend time on the ratings. Jaylen brown in a season mode with his 90 build scores 28-7-5 on like 55-44-90 splits. 2k is notorious for overatijg guys so people don’t complain about ratings
