His stats have improved since his rookie year. His FT% and 3p%, along with FG% have increased over the years. He's starting for the Hawks and is a weapon for them. Here are his stats: sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/6166/Current: 75 Bump: 79

Here are his stats: sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/6166/Current: 75 Bump: 79 This entire line of argument presupposes that he was rated accurately during his rookie build (OVR). I simply ask - what if he wasn't? "Improving" from an unknown baseline means nothing on its own. Anyway... 45.4 / 37.4 / 82.4 - 15.6ppg | 4.4rpg | 1.3apg | 0.4spg | 0.2bpg Splits are decent, but nothing very special. Rebounds aren't very high. Assists are low. Steals and Blocks are quite low. Think he's an okay defender but not necessarily elite / game-changing. I think a 77 is fine right now. Lack of those counting stats really keep him down.

Lack of those counting stats really keep him down. 2019-2020 Rookie year: Games played: 63 Points: 12.3 Rebound: 4.5 Assist 1.8 FT%: 76.4% 3p%: 35.5% (1.7) FG: 41.0% Compared to 2022- 2023: Games played: 36 Points: 15.6 Assist 1.3 Rebound:4.4 FT: 82.4% 3p%: 37.4 (1.6) FG%: 45.4% Improvements to the following: Points FT% FG% 3p% He's healthy and playing well. I believe his FT%, FG%, and 3% have increased rapidly. In his last 10 games, shooting 2.6 3's, I know a small sample size, but he's shooting a lot better and more efficiently. That's why I'm fighting for him to increase to 78-79. Hope that's a better explanation Walt and what you were looking for.

I think you missed my point, or I just didn't explain well. You have no obligation to explain differently based on what I say. I'm just another guy who votes. What I meant:
If his last rating was just his original rating, then that was mostly based on a rough "formula" of basically rating players within a tight range (2-3 points tops) depending on where they were drafted.
I'm saying he never even technically "earned" his 75 if it was just his original rating. It was mostly based on draft position.
My rating holds b/c I just base my rating on what they're actually doing. Whatever they did before is irrelevant to me. Who are they now, what have they earned, now, is what I look at.
Also, I'm not trying to be a hardass, just explaining my POV on how I vote. Cheers bud!
