...in a random HS gym in the Seattle area, a former player seeks another shot at the League. He bricks a three when a phone call rings out in the gym...
Bradley: "This is Avery"
Nets GM Andrei Kirilenko: "Avery! How you doing?"
Bradley: "Great! Keeping myself in game shape, and I am really hoping to get another chance to get back in the League."
Nets GM: "Perfect! I'll contact your agent to see if we can hammer out a deal and will get back to you"
Bradley: "I won't let you down!" Phone call ends
...in San Antonio, the phone rings at Triple G (Gervin's Great Gets) Agency...
PA Gervin: "This is THE ICEMAN"
Nets GM: "Evening sir -- the Nets wanted to inquire about Avery Bradley to see if he would be interested in joining the Nets"
PA Gervin (looking at a live feed of Bradley bricking a whole string of 3s): "Yeah...he hasn't received a ton of other interest, so if you're offering a chance to get back in the League, we're open to an offer"
Nets GM: "How's a 1 year veteran minimum sound? Bench role, scrappy vet to help provide depth? We are a title level team and all we need Avery to do is NOT fuck up our flow."
PA Gervin (live feed again showing Avery bricking another 3): "Avery will not let you down. He will be on a flight to Brooklyn tonight" Phone call ends
...back in the Seattle gym, Bradley lets out a yell as he drains a whole rack of 3s when the phone rings...
Bradley: "George, do I have a deal"
PA Gervin: "I negotiated hard and got you a bench role for the Nets. Pack your bags, you're heading to Brooklyn. Avery...do NOT blow this chance with a team like this."
Bradley (looking around the HS gym): "I won't! I definitely don't want to be back here doing this shit anymore.."
