Klay Thompson has agreed to a 2 year contract worth $83,312,556 to return to Golden State. The second year is a player option.

Year 1: $43,279,250
Year 2: $40,033,306 (PO)

Klay always knew he wanted to stay in Golden State, but there was disagreement on money for a long term contract. The Pelicans did reach out, and Klay was willing to consider them, but honestly just as a back up if negotiations broke down with the Warriors. Luckily that point wasn't reached and a compromise was agreed to with this shorter term contract. Klay is excited to put in some fully healthy seasons and help the Warriors reclaim the championship.
