Brooklyn Nets - Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic has decided to return to Brooklyn in a deal that go up to 3 years and 119,636,213 dollars.
Year 1: $37,096,500 Year 2: $39,878,738 Year 3: $42,660,975 (Player Option)
We would like to thank everyone who showed interest in my client and made an offer, but in the end, we decided that returning to Brooklyn in a shorter deal was the best option for my client, where he can either opt out at year 9 and take one of the new TV deal max's, or if he likes where Brooklyn is headed, opt in, and wait another year in order to get the 10 year max deal. Brooklyn altough not the most loyal organization, was always loyal to Devin Booker, and has proven themselves to always be a highly competitive team under the Josh Barber umbrella.
We cannot understate how excited we are to return to Brooklyn and fight for a championship with the big 3, go Nets.

Congrats to Josh but I can't help but wonder if GMs will ever actually face consequences of their decisions. 2 years after poaching Kawhi Leonard from the Bulls and dealing him not once, but twice (and one of those times to Washington nevertheless), Brooklyn lands the best free agent once again.
I know other teams trade players around as well, it's inevitable in our league, but I feel like trading star players that signed with you is a bit different. Guess it just shows that none of that actually matters.

The explanation of Jerry, not even touching the trading of the elite superstars is a proof of that.

Funnily enough Josh didn't try to get "funny" with his offer to save 3 million in year 4 of a max deal when other teams were offering the full 4 year max, so maybe try sitting this one out

By the way, are you implying that acting serious with your offer for one of the top 3 players in the league is enough for his trading habits to be forgotten?
LOL

Doesn't it feel a bit rich coming from you who's traded their team away multiple times and even made Zion available in trade talks? Josh has been more loyal to Booker than you have ever been to any of your players.

Josh has been more loyal to Booker than you have ever been to any of your players. If you are not going to answer the point, then it is true. And for your blabbing, are you sure Booker is not offered? So being loyal to a single star is enough for his trading habits to be forgotten?

Yeah, let me know which GM who has a championship caliber team and never traded a star player put an offer forward. I'll wait. Do you want my password so you can go through the messages and see who put an offer in?

I did not question the decision of signing with BKN. Read my first post.
