NBA tie-breaker method:
The Big Ones
2nd Place Tie - The outcome of this tie-breaker could decide who picks 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
7th Place Tie
Tie-Breakers Postponed Until After Play-In Tournament
After the Play-In Tournament we will know which of the teams these picks belong to qualified for the Playoffs and will either pick in the Lottery and require a tie-breaker.
9th Place Tie

NBA tie-breaker method:
"In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination. The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery."

Lottery: 405 total lottery balls split between three teams returns an integer. Each team will be awarded 135 lottery balls.
Tie-Breaker: Denver won the first tie-breaker and will be the 2nd place team entering the lottery with 135 lottery balls.
Dallas won the second tie-breaker and will be the 3rd place team entering the lottery with 135 lottery balls.
Milwaukee lost both tie-breakers and will be the 4th place team entering the lottery with 135 lottery balls.

7th place has 75 lottery balls.
8th place has 60 lottery balls.
Lottery: 135 lottery balls split between two teams does not return an integer so one of these teams will be awarded 68 lottery balls whilst the other will be awarded 67 lottery balls.
Tie-Breaker: The LA Clippers pick won the tie-breaker. The pick is owned by the Sacramento Kings who will be the 7th place team entering the lottery with 68 lottery balls.
Philadelphia lost the tie-breaker and will be the 8th place team entering the lottery with 67 lottery balls.
