Pretty nice range of counting stats, with a sort of "meh" % spread. But, as a rookie, that is understandable. I like him.
I'll go 81 as well.

Do you actually watch basketball? If this is where you’re landing, I’m not convinced you do. One of these guys started 74 games for a playoff team at 19 years old playing 35 MPG, while the other guy started 3 games and spent most of his time holding his dick riding the bench

Does he also have a $125M contract and a really cool car and maybe even starred in a movie this year?
Starting vs not starting does not matter. Minutes played and team success, yes. And it's all contextual. Scottie also benefits from having a great team around him and a great coach. Doesn't change the fact his advanced metrics are not stellar. I think 80-81 is great for him.
Conversely, Harrell's advanced stats are great. Albeit not as good of a team and only 23 mpg. While his production on the floor seems to indicate a larger positive impact, it's limited by reduced playing time. I'd also say 80-81 is fair here.

That’s a terrible fucking argument and you know it — Barnes is 19 stepping into the league making an immediate impact for a playoff squad. Trez has consistently been played over despite the impact for a reason — that doesn’t detract from his use as a player, but to so flippantly discredit what Barnes has done as a rookie is dumb.

You are deliberately avoiding my point — you said by virtue of the quality of Barnes teammates that it undermines, to an extent, the success this season. That fails to acknowledge he is 1) 19 years old; 2) playing HUGE mins night after night; and 3) doing so for a team that won 49 games. You know exactly what you’re doing — you tossed Trez out as an anchor point like it was some kind of “fair” comparison, when it is a disingenuous one

It’s weird that your own 90 rated player, DeMar DeRozan, also has a lower RAPTOR and LEBRON rating than Montrezl Harrell. It’s almost as if context actually does matter, as those evil discord bandits have been saying for months.
Or should we stockwatch DeRozan to an 80 to be lower than your Montrezl vote? Because clearly Montrezl is the better player, right?

You guys honestly make me feel insane and it's getting worrying for myself.
Tonight I've been called dumb, a lunatic, accused of something that I've not done, told that I'm going off the rails, accused of not watching the game.
I posted the advanced stats that YOU all have said you care about as a comparison, not an anchor. I voted an 80.5, which is right in line with everyone else and what I feel is fair!
All year I've advocated for players that you all have so easily dismissed, particularly the young players! I mean, I've hyped up Cade a lot because he's a Piston and I like his game, but I've long been extremely supportive and patient for young players. And not once in this thread did I discredit anything that Barnes has done - unless you want to say that by saying he's got a good team around him and they all deserve credit for making the playoffs is discrediting him?? My point there that Barnes has been awesome but it's also a team game so team success is more than any one individual can take credit for.
And what does age have anything to do with this??
I've literally argued consistently that the game is so much more than advanced stats but every discussion I'd get in with people that's the counter argument. So then I use what I've been told is supposed to matter but then it doesn't.
And now Josh is painting the picture like I'm the advanced stats guy who is saying that context doesn't matter when that's been my point all year?
The negativity, the sarcasm, the bullying, the superiority complex, the name calling. I grew tired of it in discord and had to quit. I'm sure there will be an argument that I'm guilty of some of that too and maybe I am.
I'm done. I'm actually done. I'll check in here and there but I can't do this so regularly involved any more. Hoping for a good playoffs, let's go Rockets 🚀
