Had to break it down into two deals, but it's obvious as to why I'm doing this deal. I'm building a team around Talent. I'll sort the talent as we go. I'd rather have pieces that fit my scheme more, and offer me more chances to improve my team than collect draft picks which I don't believe will even be in play. Memphis is trying to be like the real life Grizz, we're trying to win now.

Trading Nene and Varejao was hard because together they make a great frontcourt but I believe this is the right move for Wizards because they get cap space and draft picks which are the things they need most right now.

Guys can you post what your lineups will look like before/after this trade, it's kinda hard to get my head around it.

Guys can you post what your lineups will look like before/after this trade, it's kinda hard to get my head around it. Wizards: Before: Nene-Varejao-Martin-Richardson-Hill After: Leonard-Thompson-Martin-Richardson-Hill Assuming Memphis starts Nene and Varejao, i suppose it would look something like: Before: Diaw-Anderson-Smith-Stuckey-Chalmers After: Nene-Varejao-Anderson-Stuckey-Chalmers, 6th: Smith

Ok so I'll start this party ... Reject from me.
1. Those picks that Memphis is trading don't have as much value as they did before the trade.
2. I understand the rationale behind splitting the trade to make it work, and it's not in the rules technically, but IMO these types of trades are a circumvention of the trade rules and the 125% rule.

Can we get votes? I'm sorry, but trust in GMs. If they have a plan, let them follow through. Nene's contract is forever. I barely wanted him but took him because he was offered.

With that said, if you think like Dominique that i am giving nene and varejao for way too cheap i accept your negative votes. I don't know if i will stay with Wizards for long so i only want good trades for them.

Washington gets every expiring contract. Varajeo is playing well, no doubt. But Nene isn't. I'm a building team helping a team rebuild. That's how I view it.

Honestly, I need to make sure this trade is valid from Ian before I vote on it. Does this actually have to be posted as a part 1 and part 2, or can it just be posted as two separate trades?
If it can be two separate trades, can we get it posted that way?
If not, I will vote on each trade separately, as I don't see any pieces that are in both "parts", so it really just looks to me like two different trades.

The reason why the 2 parts are together is because if i trade varejao and i would also like to trade Nene. I don't want a half competitive team. With that said, i think 2 different threads could be made if needed. It just would suck if 1 part is accepted and the other isn't/ If TC members vote on each part separately and one gets rejected, Memphis and I could always post the 2 parts again making each acceptable. I think that sounds reasonable.

I understand why you want them tied together, but I think that's abusing the system a bit.
I think it's best if you guys just post them separately right away, then we vote on them.
Also, I think Part 2 has a better shot at being accepted than Part 1...which would leave you with Varejao still, who has more value at the moment, and is easier to trade.
I'm not saying the Part 1 will be rejected, but I think the cap savings from moving Nene make sense for the Wiz, and the better player in Nene makes sense for the Grizz, so that side probably goes through.
We'll see, I'm really not comfortable voting on this two-trades-in-one-thread thing you have going on here, so I won't be voting until/unless Ian tells me to, or you split it up.
