Atlanta trades:
79 Luis Scola $9,408,208 $10,224,623 $11,041,038 75 Francisco Garcia $6,100,000 $6,400,000 2013 1st round pick (TOR)
Salary out: $15,508,208 Salary in: $10,498,042
Sacramento trades:
78 Marcus Thornton $7,525,000 $8,050,000 $8,575,000 71 Wayne Ellington $2,083,042 $3,103,733 67 Solomon Alabi $890,000
Salary out: $10,498,042 Salary in: $15,508,208
I accept. I think this is a good trade for us as Scola is still a good player but we need a SF and Thornton fills that role and Ellington isn't totally horrid. The pick is prolly going to be good as that makes up for the difference in Scola and Garcia.

I am pretty happy about this trade. Scola is still a productive player who arguably possesses better stats than Thornton at this current moment. Trading Ellington helps balance out the difference in cap space in year 2. I only see one guy left that I want in Free Agency, so the cap space I gain this year does no harm. On top of that I get TOR's 2013 1st. Last time I got one of Toronto's picks it worked out pretty well for me as I drafted Damien Lillard. Thus, I feel like I about the same right now and get a pick that helps me in the future.

I'm gonna have to think about this one. That 1st round pick is probably gonna be in the lottery and at this point I wouldn't trade a 1st for all three of what sacramento is giving up. And for Thornton filling the small forward role, that is just not acceptable. He's only 6'4 and will get demolished by pretty much every small forward he will face considering the size difference. Also, Scola is producing very nicely in Phoenix where as Ellington and Alabi aren't doing squat. I'm leaning towards rejecting it but I'll think about it and let other people chime in and see what they say.

Memphis and I talked about a trade where I would get Houston's 1st for Thornton and I ended up not doing it. I think very highly of Thornton, but do not want him on my team right now because Waiters and him possess a similar skill set. As far as Atlanta's lineup, I agree that Thornton can not play SF. If Atlanta did not realize that fact I will let him go back on this trade. However, the simple solution consists of letting Derozan play SF and Thornton play SG. In my opinion, Atlanta needs a true shooter and Thornton will provide them with that. In fact, I really like a line up of: C: Kaman PF: Horford SF: Derozan SG: Thornton PG: Teague Atlanta now has Horford playing his natural PF position. Additionally, this team can space the floor with Thornton, which will allow Derozan, Teague, Vasquez, Maggette, and others to be able to go to the hole.

Yeah I'm sorry, I mispoke in relation to Thornton's position, the site I was looking at had him at G/F. and YEAH... what Sac said!! LOL C: Kaman PF: Horford SF: Derozan SG: Thornton PG: Teague Withh Maggs, Williams, Brewer, Vazquez, and the rookies to fill out the roster.

Thornton is 7 years younger than Scola and has a 3 years deal much cheaper than that of Scola. It is very important that Thornton has a 3 years deal because this would allow Hawks to keep his bird rights once the contract expires.
Garcia probably would cost much less than $12.5M in the open market so he adds more value to Hawks.
Ellington is a decent bench player with a fair price.
I agree that Kings win this deal but is it is rejectable? Possibly not. Raptors is not one of the best teams in the league but with players like Wall, Randolph and Gordon they can win some games.

This is a little tricky.
I'd accept Scola for Thornton as a straight up deal, but I think overall Thornton should actually have a little more value (7 years younger and a little cheaper being some big factors there), so say we add in that 1st...
Well, that would probably be too much. But then, Sac also takes a 6 mil cap hit for a fairly mediocre (Real Life) player, plus he adds in a solid bench guy in Ellington.
I do think SAC wins this, but neither team is really gonna hurt themselves here, and I gotta remember that cap space does have value.
I'm going to accept.

I think the Kings are getting the better deal, but not enough to reject. Whether or not Toronto's 1st turns out to be lottery bound depends upon the development of his starters, which could surprise us too.
I accept.
