I accept. If we allowed Josh's trade to pass,, we should really accept this. I do agree the draft pick in this deal is a horrible idea to trade but he still has all his picks minus now 2023. Westbrook is still ranked high for now and playing next year. We can’t say the same with Kawhi.

I am going to reject.
I'm worried about the collection of players Washington is going after. There is high risk of either not playing (Kawhi) or ratings plummeting (Westbrook, at least) and I think the trade value is actually okay w/o the 1st anyway. But also with those risks, moving the 1st just doesn't make sense to me. It's a double-bad-idea IMO (two different reasons).

Kawhi, Westbrook and Wiggins are all under contract at least through the 2022-23 season, even if they all decline player options. So that 2023 1st isn't in a super risky position, even assuming some moderate rating decline. I don't see how this is similar to the Kawhi trade where next season's pick lined up with when WAS would be missing Kawhi.
Even if it does blow up somehow, it's just one pick, and WAS goes back to being a trash team like they have been forever. I think it's good Kareem is doing something different and making a move.
