I think this thread is premature. Kemba is coming back from a knee procedure, and he’s only played 20 games and is trending better.

Everything Kay said. We've talked about it in the Discord as well. I think Kemba isn't an 87. But his last 10 games are 22/4/4 on 43/41/92 splits. His first 10 games were not great.
I think he could continue trending up and be in the 84-85 range.
He needs a decrease, but I think 81-82 is doing a disservice.

Kemba is coming back from a knee procedure tbh I don't remember a time anymore when Kemba wasn't recovering from some kind of knee issue. It's unlikely that he will get back to the level he was. I have edited my vote to bit higher to not overreact

Last 13 games:
20.1 PPG / 4.6 APG / 3.7 RPG
His RAPTOR is +2.4, ahead of:
Zion Williamson 83 Gordon Hayward 86 DeMar DeRozan 88 Pascal Siakam 88 Kyle Lowry 85 Russell Westbrook 89
In fact, some people tend to argue that his defense is his worst quality. According to his defense RAPTOR (+1.6), he is better defensively than:
Jrue Holiday 87 Ben Simmons 87 LeBron James 97 Jaylen Brown 85 Andrew Wiggins 82 Kevin Durant 97 Lonzo Ball 78 Jayson Tatum 90 (Tied with) Bam Adebayo 87 Gordon Hayward 86 Pascal Siakam 88 Chris Paul 85 Kyle Lowry 85 Russell Westbrook 89
So.. his last 13 games are 20/4.6/3.7 with his RAPTOR showing his impact on the game... And we actually have people voting that to be 82-83. I don't get it.

But y'all voted an 86 for Gordon Hayward 🙄 Their statlines are pretty similar otherwise but Gordon shoots 48/40/87 shooting splits. Kemba has 39/35/92. Under 40% field goal percentage with that high volume is really not good. That's why I voted lower for Kemba

Before anyone says anything about RAPTOR on defense, turn a Nuggets game on, watch Campazzo and try to guess where he is on the defensive list for guards.
Have you seen the game yet? You did? Good. What's your guess? Well it's wrong. He is ranked 4th.

Under 40% field goal percentage with that high volume is really not good. That's why I voted lower for Kemba I'd have to redo the numbers but his last 10-13 games is actually closer to 43/41/92. And my previous post wasn't to say Bam/Simmons/anyone else is *worse* than Kemba at anything, but to showcase how he isn't as bad as people are making him out to be. His advanced stats and recent stats are showing that. CJ McCollum is like 4-25 in the last two games after breaking his foot. It's going to severely throw off his stats as he continues to work back from that and get back to where he was. If you look at Walker's last 10-13 games is he an 87? No I don't think so. Is he an 81-83? No, I also do not think so.

His advanced stats and recent stats are showing that. Those advanced stats lose credibility when they show things that are patently untrue, though.

Come on man he's shooting 39%, outside the top 40 in ppg, and looks like all his athleticism is gone. Kemba is 165th in TS% and all he can really do is supposedly shoot. I just don't see where you are going to put the rating points if he's anywhere higher than low 80s

I don't know how many times I have to say this. 20/5/4 on ~43/41/92 is his last 13 games. Is that an 81-83?

Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 20/8.6/1.2 on 48/36/83 He got his 87 rating on these splits: Final 20 games of regular season: 26.3 ppg / 10.4 rpg / 2.5 apg / 2.15 bpg / 0.85 spg 46.3% FG / 37.1% 3p / 84.5% FT Playoffs (3 games): 23.7 ppg / 8.7 rpg / 0.7 apg / 1.0 bpg / 0.0 spg 52.5% FG / 52.9% 3p / 87.0% FT If you feel he is overrated then stockwatch him, but keep in mind his splits are still probably a few rating points higher than Kemba’s.
