I accept. Giving up rookie scale guys I know is a taboo in D5, and while I do like Rui’s upside as a physically imposing wing, the chance to add a game changing center who is 25 in Christian Wood was too good to pass up. This move should not only improve my starting 5 now, but in the future being able to roll out a SGA-Luka-Harris-Pat Will-Wood quintet is a group filled with upside and adaptability.
Trade mechanics wise, James Johnson was expiring contract fodder, and I’m not losing sleep over a future 2nd that is 3 drafts away. Taking on Rivers for a short term bench boost, and Snell as added wing depth, is all fine by me. I also don’t care about Wood’s lack of BRs, as I will have $39 MM in projected cap still and now have first mover advantage in bringing Wood now to sell him on staying long term.
In short, a move that concisely can be distilled down to Rui for Wood for me, which I think is a good move no matter how I slice it. Go Spurs go!

I accept. With this trade, and our other trade, the Hornets are getting some increased salary flexibility while still remaining strong contenders, at least in my opinion.
Paul George has been a treasure for Charlotte, and we are sad to see him go, but this is a direction the team had to go in. In order to thank PG for his contributions to our team and for his dedication and loyalty to Charlotte, we ensured he received the absolute maximum salary, and are sending him to a contender that is the likely favorite to win a championship along with his IRL superstar partner – Kawhi Leonard.
In return, we are excited to receive a stellar backcourt pairing in Porzingis and Collins, as well as some youth in Rui Hachimura. Moving on from Snell’s salary is also a nice benefit of this trade for us.

This one is actually pretty heartbreaking for me as I feel like Collins and Kristaps have both been my guys for years. I've spent countless hours watching their games and defending them from slander in Discord. But at the end of the day, I was lucky enough to sign Kawhi this offseason and I want to make sure I do everything I can to capitalize on the team I have now. Paul George gives us another top 15 player and makes the arms race in the East that much more challenging for Boston as Ian tries to deal with his cap situation.
Welcome to Brooklyn, PG!

Interesting choice by the Spurs. It seems like they could've just waited and signed Wood as a free agent in the offseason. I doubt anyone would have a better situation. Anyway, I accept.

I accept. This is a fun one but also easily defensible on all sides. Nice work all. Also, James Kay - bigs are the frontcourt, guards are the backcourt. 🤪
