Primacy and ScoringVia the D5 Sim Changes Google Sheet, GMs can edit the in-game "Primacy" of their players, as well as edit their team depth charts. "Primacy" allows GMs to roughly control how many shots a player takes during a game. The higher the Primacy, the more your player will shoot. There are several other factors that influence how many shots a player takes: players with high FG rating will shoot more often, and even if a player is given a 99 in-game Primacy rating the sim engine itself will still randomize around that 99 rating - it is possible for a 99 Primacy player to shoot very little, but it is much less likely. Primacy can also be seen as a method by which the shots taken during a game are distributed amongst a team. A team with all 5-Star Primacies will have their shots distributed in exactly the same as a team with all 1-Star Primacies. A team with only one player on 5-Stars, and the rest of team on 1-Star, will see the lone 5-Star player shoot an absurd amount, which is why checks to ensure realism are in the pipeline should this occur. ⭐ Primacy = 1 - 29
⭐⭐ Primacy = 30 - 50
⭐⭐⭐ Primacy = 45 - 65
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Primacy = 60 - 80
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Primacy = 81 - 99

If we edit a primacy rating on the Google sheet, how do we notify you that we've made a change? Is it done automatically?

If we edit a primacy rating on the Google sheet, how do we notify you that we've made a change? Is it done automatically? It's picked up automatically. The code that runs on the sim machine reads directly from the Google Sheets API - straight from the spreadsheet.
