Summer League Preview Group F Charlotte Hornets89 - Russell Westbrook 78 - Malik Beasley 81 - Kelly Oubre Jr. 81 - Serge Ibaka 86 - Kristaps Porzingis Total Rating: 415 Denver Nuggets82 - Fred VanVleet 96 - James Harden 80 - Aaron Gordon 86 - John Collins 82 - Marvin Bagley III Total Rating: 426 Minnesota Timberwolves83 - Jrue Holiday 87 - Donovan Mitchell 79 - Dillon Brooks 89 - Pascal Siakam 83 - Mitchell Robinson Total Rating: 421 New York Knicks87 - Kemba Walker 83 - Malcolm Brogdon 89 - Klay Thompson 83 - Jonas Valanciunas 81 - Jarrett Allen Total Rating: 423 Westbrook and the Hornets versus Harden and the Nuggets... where have I seen this before? Unlike in D5, however, it seems to me like Charlotte might be the odd-team-out in this group, with the lowest ratings of the bunch and no 90+ superstar on the team to carry them. Denver, on the other hand, looks to be the team to beat. James Harden is by far the best player in the group, and the Nuggets have the highest rated team as a result. The offense should be on full display for Denver, but they may struggle defending better teams in the knockout round (getting deja-vu again). As for the second team in this group, I think it is a tossup between Minnesota and New York. I really like the build of the Timberwolves and the seem like a team that could actually be successful in real life, but I do wonder if they will struggle with efficiency. The Knicks, on the other hand, also have a nice mix of offense and defense, but lack a real frontcourt presence. I think Minnesota just barely squeeks by here and moves on to the knockout stage. Prediction: 1. Denver Nuggets (2-1) 2. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) 3. New York Knicks (1-2) 4. Charlotte Hornets (1-2)

Since we only play everyone once I think getting out of the group stage will be the hardest part of the tournament. We should see a lot of March Madness like upsets and so many good teams could be eliminated by one unexpected loss.
Once we hit the knockout phase and it's a best of 3 or best of 5 then the better teams should rise to the top, but just getting there will be the hard part.
