Indiana Pacers 87 - Chris Paul 81 - Goran Dragic 89 - Bradley Beal 82 - Julius Randle 85 - Montrezl Harrell
Total Rating: 424
Uhhh, yikes. I think this has to be the group of death- with both of the top 2 picks in LeBron and Giannis, and 3 of the 4 teams with total ratings of 423+, this one is going to get bloody. Starting at the bottom, I think Houston really got a tough draw here and is going to struggle to win more than 1 game, if any. The team has a good combination of offense and defense, but it might not matter in a group with both LeBron and Giannis. Next up is Indiana, who have put together a nice team and would probably actually be the favorite in most other groups, but I just don't see them having the starpower to make it out of this gauntlet either. Who on that team is going to guard one of the two MVP candidates? As far as Sacramento and Boston, it seems to me like the Kings are just a bit more powerful, with the highest rating of 428 that we have seen so far. I like combination of Giannis and Aldridge, but I like LeBron + Nurkic and Vucevic even more. Not for nothing, but Amare seems to really know his 2k stuff as well, so definitely be on the lookout for the Kings in the knockout stage.
I am with you Ian. Except, I tried to model my team after the Rockets. I was able to get D’Antoni to run the team for me.
