I accept. Here we go. Miami first messaged me, but I'm not a big fan of the top end of this draft, so I'm immediately flipping Miami's two first rounders to the Lakers for more picks. I think whoever I get at #6 I'll like more than Edwards/Ball anyway. All in all it's Brunson, 4 1st rounders and 2 2nds in exchange for Harden, which is a decent return in my opinion, nothing amazing but I'm kind of looking forward to being bad anyway. The other really good potential offer was from Boston, so you can all thank me that I'm not trading Harden to the Celtics. The only other thing with this trade is the timing. It needs to take place after salary charts advance, which could require trading draft rights instead of picks. It's all technicalities in the offseason though, whether this trade is queued or processed it's all the same in the end.

So Kawhi is definitely leaving the East, right? Christ two of the four teams right behind them for the 8 seed just got way better and still have cap to add more

So Kawhi is definitely leaving the East, right? Christ two of the four teams right behind them for the 8 seed just got way better and still have cap to add more I don’t think it matters a ton, if Charlotte showed us anything this year it’s that the only thing that counts is having the one single best team in D5, regardless of the path you gotta take to get to the championship. Sure the path might be easier to get to the finals in the West, but it doesn’t matter much if the team you join isn’t strong enough to ever win a finals. That’s basically the entire reason the Nuggets are blowing it up here. I’d rather be on an East team that has a real chance at winning than a West team that isn’t ever going to get over the hump.

I accept. Moving up 11 total spots in the first round is a big deal even though it cost me a future first. I'll now have picks 1, 13, and 14.
The Lakers now control the draft and have some flexibility in how we handle the off season in general. Although it is a weak draft, the first overall pick will be one of the top assets in the league when the new salary cap comes out and everyone realizes they are way over the hard and soft cap. The two improved picks in October will help us land a star in the draft or free agency.

Maybe I'll be wrong here but I really like this deal for Miami... I think you will be. The Nuggets couldn't get the championship done with Harden, Pascal, Harris, and Vucevic. The Heat will be hard pressed to get a better supporting cast for Harden with Jrue eating up 35 million dollars, and literally no one else on the roster. This is a FA or bust move for MIA, IMO, and 9/10 FA plans come up bust. Their new color scheme, on the other hand, now that's a good deal for Miami.

Miami puts himself in this awkward situation where he's likely making a Walmart version of Alex's Nuggets and only has two years to make it work before Harden likely bolts because he doesn't have BRs.
I don't feel like anything is rejectably bad in terms of value though, so whatever. Accept.

Looking at other Nuggets trades, it will not affect any of them. I will have the 3 year Harden Contract and i will just give him the expriing dead contract.
