D5 All-Star 2020
Voting is now open for D5 Allstar 2020. This simmed game will pit the Eastern Conference against the Western Conference, and will take place February 18 in the sim. Each General Manager, Assistant GM, or otherwise active member of the forum is allowed to vote. In the spirit of the ongoing US elections, I have created gerrymandered regions for which each GM will be bucketed in order to ensure 5 Nets players get into the game. Each member may vote for 12 players from each conference. Each member only gets 1 vote this year, so make it count! There are no restrictions against voting for your own players, but any attempts to blatantly rig the contest will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of D5 law. Your voting ballot should be messaged to Andrei Kirilenko , who will share and compile results with Ian Noble . - Each GM's ballot must be 12 players per Conference
- PM your ballot to Andrei Kirilenko
- Voting Ends on March 16 (real time)
- Teams are announced on March 17 (real time)
- The 5 highest vote-getters from each Conference will be starters
- The 12 highest vote-getters from each Conference will make the team
- Any ties in voting will be decided by Conference-leading GMs as of March 16
- Players who are out for the season are ineligible
Please post any questions here, or make any cases for your own players in this thread! Happy voting.

West sucks, Blazers are 5th (0.5 GB from 4th) despite the only above average players being Lowry, JV and Ingles.
Lowry is averaging 18-4-8 (3rd in the west) with 2 steals (4th in the west if you dont count curry). He is the only Blazers player to start all games. Also was an all star in real life.
So yeah, vote Lowry because to be honest, theres not many better options.

Not sure who to vote for? Why not Devin Booker? Devin Booker25.5 ppg / 6.4 apg / 3.8 reb / 1.6 spg / 0.2 bpg 50.6% FG / 40.3% 3p / 90.1% FT Devin Booker has led the Brooklyn Nets to the 4th best record in the league, including a recent 13 game winning streak. Despite injuries / suspensions this season to Kyrie Irving, John Collins, and Kristaps Porzingis, the one constant on the Nets each game has been Booker's leadership and stability. He is a top 5 scorer on insane percentages, and most recently was named to a short-list of potential league MVPs. He is truly having a dominant season and would appreciate your vote to represent the East in the Allstar game!

vote Lowry because to be honest, theres not many better options. One of the greatest endorsements of our times I'm going to be honest, I was dumbfounded that Lowry was the highest rated PG on a playoff team in the west. I love him, he is great, but camon.

One of the greatest endorsements of our times I'm going to be honest, I was dumbfounded that Lowry was the highest rated PG on a playoff team in the west. I love him, he is great, but camon. Well, seeing how Dallas is 4th in the West with only one starter shooting above 41% from the field (Zubac), and the 4th seed and 9th seed are separated by only 3.5 games, Western playoff seeding is far less of a convincing argument than win totals. I couldn't in good conscience vote for a Lowry averaging 37% on a team that wouldn't be in the playoffs in the East. I know you are all dying to see who I voted for, so this is what I sent to Josh: East: 1. Anthony Davis 2. Bradley Beal 3. Joel Embiid 4. Lebron James 5. Devin Booker 6. Paul George 7. Kawhi Leonard 8. Jimmy Butler 9. Russell Westbrook 10. Kristaps Porzingis 11. Jrue Holiday 12. Damian Lillard West: 1. Pascal Siakam 2. James Harden 3. LaMarcus Aldridge 4. DeMar DeRozan 5. Nikola Jokic 6. Karl Anthony-Towns 7. Andre Drummond 8. Tobias Harris 9. Giannis Antetokounmpo 10. Luka Doncic 11. Donovan Mitchell 12. Steven Adams

The west is a mess this year. I gave 8 spots to the top three teams, then had to give Giannis and Luka spots because they're ridiculous, so that left 2 pity votes for the rest of the conference.

Too much emphasis going into team record for the All Star game. This isn't MVP voting
