1. Anthony Davis
24.6 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 3.2 apg, 2.3 bpg, 2.2 spg
There's no surprise at the top, as the best player on the league's defending champion once again has his team at #1 in the standings. Davis is putting up his usual yearly insane averages, shooting over 50% from the field, and getting over 2 blocks and steals per game. There's nothing this guy can't do, and the Bucks' record is reflecting that.
2. James Harden
28.5 ppg, 10.2 apg, 5.3 rpg, 0.8 bpg, 2.6 spg
The reigning MVP, Harden finds himself 2nd in scoring, 1st in assists, and 2nd in steals in 2020. Plus, his Nuggets are once again on top of the (slightly depleted) West. There's a clear path to the NBA Finals for these Nuggets, and Harden has proven himself time and time again as a dominant force in D5 who can lead the team to that coveted matchup.
3. Joel Embiid
24.5 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 3.4 apg, 2.6 bpg, 1.3 spg
The Celtics have taken off this season, acquiring LeBron James and really flexing their muscle in the East. The cornerstone of the team, however, is Joel Embiid, who is on the league leaderboard in points, rebounds, and blocks. The strength of the Celtics is... literally their strength, and there's no one more suited to anchor the franchise than Embiid.
4. Devin Booker
25.8 ppg, 6.3 apg, 3.8 rpg, 0.2 bpg, 1.5 spg
While his stats aren't as flashy all around as some of the others on this list, Booker has the Nets on a 12 game winning streak and sitting with the 4th best record in the league. This is due, in no small part, to the insane shooting tear that face-of-the-franchise Devin Booker is on: 50/41/91. As a top 5 scorer with those percentages, it's no secret as to why the Nets are rising up the ranks this year.
5. Paul George
25.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 4.0 apg, 2.0 spg, 1.5 bpg
The Hornets find themselves in an unusual position this year, not being in the Top 2 in the East. There's no reason to worry, however, with Paul George putting up his insane yearly averages. With Durant being traded this summer and Westbrook getting a decline, the fate of the season has fallen on George's shoulders: and he has delivered MVP-worthy performances night after night.
