I'm going to take the chance of Kyle Lowry becoming the Raptors All-Time Asssist leader (already 3-Point Made leader as well) to make this thread.
Here's the stat that you need to know about Lowry:
www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=highest+career+%2B%2F-+by+a+raptors+player
Of all the Raptors players of All-time, Lowry leads them in total +/- by almost double of 2nd place. But that can be given since he has been with the Raptors for 7 years. So to compare him to someone at an All-Star level who has been with the Raptors even longer than Lowry and spent 5 seasons together with him DeMar DeRozan, is +225 in 675 games to Lowry +2314 in 533 games, where in many they shared the floor together. Jonas Valanciunas who has viewed has the Raptors 3rd best player during most of the period, despite being better than DeMar still doesn't come close to Lowry at +501 in 470 games. They key here is, Kyle Lowry is one of the biggest difference makers when on the floor in the NBA. And got a championship to show for it last year.
Here's a graph to show how influential Lowry has been during the last decade:
The underlying stats for Lowry have always been great, another underrated aspect of him is his ability to draw charges, this year he is 2nd in the NBA to Montrezl Harrell, but besides Lowry the top 5 are all big men (Wagner, P.J. Tucker and Aaron Baynes). He does the little things on the floor and plays like a floor general. Here's an article from the Athetlic on how Lowry can make any other 4 players look good:
theathletic.co.uk/1478042/2019/12/21/can-kyle-lowry-and-another-four-man-bench-unit-help-keep-the-raptors-afloat/
Despite missing some games Lowry and fighting through some injuries Lowry is once again TOP 25 in WAR by 538, according to 538 Lowry's value has been higher the last 2 years then players like: Ben Simmons, Russel Westbrook, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, DeMar DeRoazan, CJ McCollum, Donovan Mitchell and other guards rated at 85 or above. As you can see by yourself here:
projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-nba-player-projections/kyle-lowry/
This year Lowry is averaging: 19.8 - 4.6 - 7.4 (8th in the league, 4th among players in winning teams) - 1.2 - 0.4 with 2.8 TO per game. Despite his shooting stats not being great (41 - 34 - 86) he still manages an impressive 58% TS which ranks him 7th in guards behind (James Harden, Devin Booker, Damian Lilliard, Trae Young, Chris Paul and Kemba Walker, who unlike Lowry, are all the 1st option on offense).
