We are happy to say that Tucker is finally back in the NBA (D5). After years of striving and working on his game in Europe, one team finally gave him a look.
So, we are happy to sign this contract with Chicago.
2020: $1,000,000 2021: $1,000,000 2022: $1,000,000 Total = $3,000,000
To be honest, we actually thought that we can get better than that but at 34 years old, time is running out for PJ.

Man, I would have signed a 1-year and seen what he could get when the rest of the league is focused on FAs and have cap space in the offseason. Or haven't already used their MLE's, etc. This is just barely above the minimum contract, almost no risk in signing a 1-year, he's highly likely to get at least league minimum next year and the year after.
Wtg Chicago...

Wtg Chicago... he is 34 though. Waiting that long means he will be 35 at that point. I really assumed that he will get more but that did not happen. I do not think time is on our side to wait that much longer. Who are the players who are currently 34 and older and still has positive impact in the court? The risk of signing a 1-year is getting another 1-year by the upcoming offseason and the moment that he gets a season-ending injury, his value vanished. Signing two years means he will be an FA at 37. And we are talking about a guy here who have been playing in Europe to get back into the NBA. He is not actually a freshly-cut type of FA. Psychologically, he should have more intent of getting back into the NBA.

He's been in the NBA For years now. We just missed him in D5.
I just would have waited for OSFA and think it's very possible someone would give him a good chunk of their MLE for a year or two. He's pretty good still
