Current: 74 I know, 16 games is a little bit early but my team is in a dire need of a quality player. So, let me give my argument for Melo. Current Stats: 16.4 PTS | 1.2 AST | 1.3 STLS | 0.8 BLK | 42% FG | 40.6% 3FG In reality, he did not improve in anything. He is just playing in the system that can actually maximize what he already has. He has been a well-rounded player all throughout his career, other than defense of course. His good numbers in steals, blocks and 3FG will probably need an increase in three of his attributes. Speaking of defensive awareness, let me just remind you that primarily, it is only represented by one attribute and that is defensive awareness. Scoring on the other hand, involves four attributes. So, let me suggest 79. Thanks

Umm 77.5 I guess. I'm a well documented Melo hater so take that for what it's worth. I think this is just the year everyone thought Portland would have after Aldridge left all those years ago. They haven't had talent influx for a while now and it's showing.
Melo to his credit is playing WAY better than I expected but is still turning the ball over too much and not shooting very efficient.

74 is fine.
He's still one of the worst defensive players in the league.
He has a well below average true shooting percentage.
He doesn't pass.
His rebounding rate is near career lows.

74 — there’s a reason he was available for over a year and no team wanted him. He’s a de facto stretch 5 now cause he can’t stick with any other players on the floor athletically

When will people in D5 be aware that defense is represented basically by only three attributes of DAware, Steal and Blocks..

74 is fine. He's still one of the worst defensive players in the league. He has a well below average true shooting percentage. He doesn't pass. His rebounding rate is near career lows. Last season, the average TS% was 54%. Melo is at 51.9%. He is below but not WELL below. If he is not passing, how did he average 1.2 assists per game? His career Reb% is 7.8, 8.4. He is at 10.5. Near career lows?

When will people in D5 be aware that defense is represented basically by only three attributes of DAware, Steal and Blocks.. I think people realize and sort of defacto whether right or wrong associate OVR with basically how good a player is. And while it's not supposed to always be true, it should in most cases at least be a decent judge of that. And while I can see some obvious issues with that in general, I think we could reasonably argue the OVR should basically be about the real world effect on winning of a player. And I think for the most part we've accomplished that with the ratings. And until we get a better system that's kinda how it's gonna be. And thus we have to acknowledge that defensive specialist players will forever be gimped and we just deal with it the way we have for a decade now.

Wow. You did put up some lies here Brian. Just because you own my 1st, you really need to lie? I don't own your 1st round pick this season or any in the future

And let me just asked if there is a player out there who averaged more than 13 points in the last two seasons who are currently rated 74?
