Should Ben Simmons be out?
He didn't play since February 22 and yesterday before the news a report came out that he would only be reevaluated in 3 weeks, so he was set to miss at 6 weeks.

If he misses an extra three weeks from today that makes it almost six weeks, but not six weeks Rotoworld lists his status as "day-to-day". edit: I'll place Simmons on the IR though I guess. It's clear he needs to miss time. The whole status of injuries is now in a weird place. Players are going to start having season ending surgeries like they do when they're out of the Playoffs (I don't think these players should be added to the injury list), guys like Ben Simmons are just going to shut it down, should coronavirus players even be out (I don't think so)? I think we return the current injured players from the injury list when their status changes in real life, even if there's no games. This season is going to be weird because there's not many players who are going to be listed as injured once the Playoffs actually start...

I dont players with the Corona Virud should be out, but that's just my opinion.
Except Rudy "The Clown" Gobert obviously.

Ahh man it's hard to blame Gobert when he didn't know he had the virus. 100%, my problem was just him acting like the virus was nothing serious and then making a point of touching all those mics. When I heard the new for a few seconds I actually believed karma existed. Edit: I think it's more a lesson than anything

Dude is running around training his gigantic pet dog. http://instagram.com/p/B-xFsMfJFrM In the absence of official updates and players returning to play games, I feel like we should maybe allow GMs to petition for their guys to return from injury if we can find evidence like this.

Unless there's protest I'm returning Simmons from injury. He was scheduled to return 18 days ago, I can't find anything when I google it.

I'm not necessarily protesting, but there definitely were a lot of people who thought he was out for the season/playoffs. If we bring Simmons back then there's probably a case to be made for other players who were questionable for the season as well

I agree with Josh. Returning one player means we have to look into returning others and the problem is we simply don't know. It's all speculation and assumptions.

I disagree, news on Simmons was pretty clear about him returning this year, it is nothing compared to guys like Irving, KD, Andre Roberson, Cousins, Rodney Hood and many more.
Here are the players (big names) that I think should be under consideration: Kelly Oubre, Ben Simmons, Karl Anthony Towns, John Wall, Luke Kennard and Norman Powell.

Ok, so I just googled "Ben Simmons Injury" and tried to compile some sources on the most recent updates. These are literally just the top things that popped up, so I am trying not to be bias here: March 7 - Bleacher Report - Report: 76ers Hopeful Ben Simmons Will Return from Back Injury for PlayoffsMarch 11 - CBS - Ben Simmons injury update: 76ers star making progress with back, to be reevaluated in three weeks, per reportMarch 11 - ESPN - Sixers' Ben Simmons (back) can't guarantee he returns this seasonApril 21 - Rotoworld - According to a report by ESPN's Jackie MacMillan, Ben Simmons "will be good to go as his lower back impingement has all but dissipated."April 21 - SixersWire - Report: Ben Simmons' lower back back injury is completely healedIt seems to me that before this morning, there was definitely substantial doubt on him coming back this season. It is hard to say if Jackie's quote is saying he is healthy right now, or rather he expects to be healthy upon any future resuming of the season. The SixersWire article says he is fully healed, but they are just quoting Jackie MacMillan as their source. There is probably an argument for bringing him back if we are going to go down that path with injured players. Karl-Anthony Towns: March 6 - NBA - Presently, Towns’ fracture continues to heal, and as of now, he and the team will continue to pursue a non-operative strategy as part of his recovery. Towns and the team plan to evaluate his healing in two weeks and work towards an optimal return to play strategy. March 6 - Rotoworld - Per the team, over the last two weeks, Towns and the performance staff have met with leading specialists to discuss management options while he continues to receive treatment for a left wrist fracture. The Wolves won't opt for surgery on KAT yet, but it's certainly possible he is out for the year. For Towns, it seems to me that he was probably not coming back this season. The Wolves' last game would have been April 15, and Towns was set to be re-evaluated on March 20. Its certainly possible that they would have brought him back, but seems a bit unlikely as he is the franchise player and the team had nothing to play for. We've also seen no updates since then

Yeah I also don't know if playing with a dog is evidence to return from injury. KD is working out in a gym putting shots up, he isn't close to returning right now.
I could see the 76ers waiting until the playoffs to bring him back. And I suppose it would have been playoff time in the NBA right now. So it's entirely possible he would be returning for the 76ers first round match up

Last article on Towns was that the team was planning for his return. All news after that is that KATs mom died of the Rona.
