Meyers gave a lot of thought to returning to the Bulls, and they were also the team with an active bid on him for the longest, up until the end. However, this contract gets Meyers as much or more guaranteed money in 3 years as Chicago's best offer had in 4, with a chance to earn a solid Year 4 payday if he produces. End of the day, once the offers were finalized, this felt like the right fit.
We thank the Bulls for their work developing Meyers, and look forward to the next 3+ years in Memphis.
