I accept.
Always been a Mike Conley fan. Can now play him at the Point alongside Kemba at the 2, even though positions don't really matter anymore.
I also get back TJ, which is huge.
The 2019 1st is something I didn't want to part with but the pick would likely not manifest itself to something for a few years.
Eric Gordon has struggled recently and while this trade hurts my "depth" I was only playing 8 deep before.

As mentioned in my previous trade two of my goals going into trade season was to grab young players and future picks. Here I'm able to do both. I really like Troy Brown Jr.'s upside. He has the skillset to be a solid NBA player which I hope he turns into. The 2019 pick is huge considering I previously didn't have any draft picks for 2019.
Losing Warren is tough. I really like the efficient scorer he's developed into. Adding the three pointer to his game was a great weapon. I had every intention on signing him this summer, but it's tough to predict how much money he would've been offered considering the amount of available money and the lack of headline players. I wish him the best of luck as he's reunited with the team that drafted him.
Moving Conely is something I envisioned doing for a while. The worst contract on the Lakers after I inherited the team was Gorran Dragic's contract. I was able to move him for Conley, which is a much more manageable contract. Moving him here allow me to fully get rid of that awful contract. Conley is still an outstanding player, but this is a trade that I believe helps the future of the team as I will have a ton more salary cap for the 2021 offseason.
This deal may hurt my team in the shortrun, but getting back Gordon, Green, and Iguodala will certainly help. I'm able to add depth and pick up future assets without severely compromising the playoff run this season.
Trevor Booker and Billy Preston will be released once this trade is passed. I do not want to formally release them in case for some reason this trade does not pass.

I’ve gotta say, I don’t understand this at all for LAL.
Lakers don’t own 2 of their own picks, and are trading 2 of their best players without getting anything promising in return.. Not one thing the Lakers are getting in this deal even has positive value except for the Hou 2019 1st, which will be like pick 25. The rest is a literal pile of garbage.
Is this not extremely damaging to the Lakers future? The Lakers are going to have pick 25, no promising young players, and DeAndre Jordan to work with for the 3 seasons. What’s the plan?

I'm not sure why I'm even addressing such a ridiculous statement but here we are. This team has no picks and absolutely no chance of being anything better than the 8th seed for the next 4 seasons. So it's either I keep Warren and pay him $15-20 million a year for the next 4 years for him to be a 84 rated player at best while having an aging rotation. Or I could trade an expiring I wasnt going to re-sign and a declining pg on a terrible contract for a pick which I didn't have and Troy Brown Jr who has some upside. I thought this was pretty self explanatory, but apparently you'd prefer me to take my cap go $120M and be the ninth seed every year.

As a owner of their 21 1st I'd like to say I approve of this trade. It's truly a shame we won't see Mike Conley and an overpaid TJ Warren drag the 2021 Lakers to the playoffs.

Oh yeah forgot we made that change. Wow LA gets ripped here. I just wasnt going to re-sign him. Someone is going to offer a pretty big number considering the lack of real free agents out there. I dont see him getting much better than he currently is.
