The second most intense free-agency discussion that I handled this month finally ended.
Ivan Rabb will join the Dallas Mavericks with full of hope as he plays with a very promising young stud in..
He signs this contract.
Year 1: $2,662,622
Year 2: $1,831,311
Year 3: $1,000,000
Congratulations Danny.

Ian Noble for the record, this is an MLE signing I am interested to know if this is possible. - The only teams who possess the MLE are teams that are over the Salary Cap, and teams under the cap by an amount less than the MLE, on the starting day of Off Season Free Agency (July 1st). If a team drops below the Salary Cap by an amount more than the MLE on that date then they forfeit their MLE
The only moves I've made since OSFA that affected my cap were: the Tyler Lydon trade (-$125,365) the Jon Leuer trade (+$1,500,000) the signing of Devonte' Graham (+$591,836) If you trace them back, then that would put my cap available at the start of OSFA at $7,080,343. That's an amount less than the MLE of $8,568,000.

What happens if a team with MLE did a trade to open up cap space of more than the MLE. Can he still sign using MLE?

What happens if a team with MLE did a trade to open up cap space of more than the MLE. Can he still sign using MLE? Yes he can still use the MLE. The MLE is decided on July 1st every year. Teams can do whatever they want with trades afterwards, which change their team salaries, and the MLE will still be available to them if they satisfied those conditions on the previous July 1st

Only if a team is below the MLE "on that date" (ie. 1st July).
