Chris Paul out at least 2-3 more weeks. Has already been out three weeks starting tomorrow. This is totally a weird rule. It says "6 weeks or more" so Chris Paul breaks the rule starting Feb 1st. He's meant to be back before then, so based on our system he stays in the lineup. What if he doesn't come back though and stays out an extra week? At that point it's kind of too late to take him out, and if we did then he'd miss like a game or two before returning. We should more seriously consider going to the system talked about earlier. Anytime a player misses say 10+ games, we remove them in D5 for those games once we reach that point in game. It's weird having a line in the sand that we have to anticipate whether or not we cross it 6+ weeks in advance.

I guess why don’t we just take players out once the reach the six weeks if their injury is controversial? I believe this has been stated multiple times before. Keep a list of players that hit six weeks out but were never taken out of the sim and then begin tracking. Make them miss all the time they would have if they were out from the start. I don’t think it would be that hard to track. I would be willing to do it, I don’t care.

So are we just going to ignore this issue? If so, that is fine.

This is the whole thing we've been dealing with. It may only be 4 weeks, so we have to wait until he eclipses 6 weeks and then make the move?

I mean it makes total sense, but for some reason we are hesitant to start doing this? I don't get it really. I am sure there is a number of people who would keep track. However, if we are doing it for Paul, then there is no way we can do it for Capela,

I know I'm still new, but if you don't mind me suggesting something I'll do it.
Why don't we start counting 30 days (a month) since the report came out that the player got injured (or his last played game).
For example, Capela's report came out at the 14th of January. If he doesn't return until February 14th, he'll be out until he plays again.

Yeah 4 weeks seems to be better imo. 4 weeks isn't hard to keep track of and they will more often give a definite time table of 4 weeks.

Damn I've neglected to check this the last few days! Apologies guys.
The reason I've resisted change in the past is because there's only so much time I can personally devote to checking injuries, but it seems you GMs are pretty good at helping me out already.
I think I would be happy to implement the following change.
If:
(1) The Amount of Time a Player is Expected to Remain Injured + (2) The Amount of Time a Player has Already Been Injured (proved by providing a link) => exceeds or equals 6 Weeks
Then I will mark that player as injured.

Working on Power Rankings, realized Barea isn't out right now in D5, but he will be out until the end of the year in real life
