Lydon still has a little bit of potential, but this move is strictly to reduce my roster size. I did not want to waive Lydon due to his second year being on my books. Will receive Zimmerman and release him.

Hopefully he turns into something for Dallas.

No waiving him now is like declining the team option. It would just be the first year on the books. If it was a player option then it would be automatically accepted and stay on.
