Spurs accept. We had a glut of guards and looked for a bit on a guy who we could roll the dice on. Aminu, as a youngish (27) SF/PF type on a one year deal fits the bill. This will also allow us to start both SGA and Doncic full time at their more natural positions of PG and SG respectively.

This is a hard trade for me. MKG has been the heart and soul of almost my entire tenure in D5. I traded for him when I was the Utah GM and then traded for him when I took over the Nets. I feel like some GMs will try to frame this as me not being loyal, but I’ve literally had this guy on my roster as a starter for 5 years. I’ve rooted for him every year and waited for him to break out, but alas, it hasn’t happened. What more can I do? Say what you will, but eventually it’s time to move on.
I really like Winslow and am intrigued by how the Heat are developing him into a point-forward role. I think he’s been thrown around way under value in D5 so I’m glad to pick him up. Valentine doesn’t mean much to me but he is a decent role player.
Anyway, I accept.

I accept.
I get MKG who is a defensive ace. With my trade at the end of the season for Patrick Beverley and my free agent addition of Andre Roberson, along with Jarrett Allen I am working on building a defensive line. There are some top heavy teams in the East. I'd like to see what those teams are able to do if I can throw a lineup of defensive stoppers against them. Scoring will be a problem with a lineup like that, but I also have Isaiah Thomas and Danilo Gallinari. I do have to trade Winslow, who Josh talked about, but I get MKG. I am hopeful with the new coach that Kidd-Gilchrist can have a better offensive year this year. He is still young, so he has the ability to turn it around. I also pick up 2 2nds in both the 2020 and 2021 drafts.

I was mildly optimistic when you acquired Winslow exactly one month ago Larry Bird, he's clearly set for a breakout season: ...Winslow ... does look set for a breakout year and is improving. So of course it only took one month for him to be sent on his way for a guy who, if he was going to get his shit together, would've done it by now. I accept. Indiana still a turnstile.

Your right Ian, I’m sorry I’m working on improving my team from: Jose Barea, Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari, Jeff Green, and Ian Mahinmi.
I think MKG is the better player. He already knows how to play defense. If he can learn to shoot the 3 he’ll be one of the best 3 and D guys in the league.

Funny thing is. You are TEARING ME UP about it. But you still accepted ... only because Winslow hasn't done shit yet. MKG is never gonna be able to shoot. But I don't think Winslow will either

I'm not convinced any of these players are worth getting worked up over. Winslow may have more upside in him simply because he hasn't proven much...but he can easily be a near-no-impact player in 2 years. Accept for me. Only part I don't like is Barber gets out of a contract

The other upside piece on this trade for me is I now have $47 MM coming off the books after this season, so I should be set up nicely cap wise. Can’t do anything about the Rose albatross, and Fancy Boy is needed to bring the ladies to the arena
