Pau Gasol - Golden State WarriorsPau Gasol has decided to return to the Golden State Warriors in hopes of securing the 3-peat. Golden State is an experienced, successful, and veteran team, which is exactly what Pau was looking for. We acknowledge that LeBron has not yet made a decision, but even if LeBron were to not return to Golden State, we did not see any other offers or scenarios that would entice Pau to walk away from Steph and Klay. The terms of the contract are as follows: Year 1: $15,000,000

Are we gonna sign Giannis to someone? He's the real domino here. He's the deciding factor of whether I bother Josh or offer Pau 24 million for one year just to destroy GSW front court.

I mean, there is an actual strategy to the offseason here fellas and if we don't let it play out realistic how can we do other stuff.

I think Hill is onto something here. The big free agents tend to sign as early as possible once free agency is open.

Makes sense. Should always be the main people getting signed first. That's how it is in real life.

Giannis is is discussion right now. They (not me, because I'm bidding) are making sure it's the right decision. Lebron and Jrue are also under discussion. Also Makes sense. Should always be the main people getting signed first. That's how it is in real life. Not true. Loads of FAs signed all over the place in the first two days this year in the NBA.

I agree that these support played should typically wait, and I actually told Chris a few days ago that Pau would wait until LeBron re-signed just to make sure we have all info in hand. But he brought up a good point and asked if there was even another situation out there where Pau would go if LeBron left, and after thinking about it, the answer is no. Golden State has been very loyal and successful with Pau, and overpaid him last year on a 1 year deal. A team of Steph and Klay is still enough for Gasol to re-sign with the Warriors.

More often than not it is the top players and those that get max contracts that sign first. Lebron Durant George Paul Jordan Etc All I am saying is that for this league it is very important for all teams to see where all the top free agents are going more so than the real NBA. I don't mind gasol and others signing, but I think the top 4-5 free aganets should be signed quicker than most.

Yeah because LeBron announed his decision like immediately, same with Paul George and KD. The year LBJ left Miami FA was frozen for like a week.
